MTG notches big win, judge squashes bid to ban her from ballot in crushing blow to Dems

A Georgia judge dealt a crushing blow to leftists when he ruled that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is eligible to run for reelection in November, shutting down a bid by activists and their out of state lawyers who sought to gin-up a bogus case to have her thrown off the ballot by using an obscure Civil War-era provision, a sad day for Democrats who are having a terrible week.

Administrative Law Judge Charles Beaudrot announced his decision on Friday afternoon, two weeks after a hearing when Greene’s antagonists attempted to have her disqualified under the 14th Amendment on the pretense that she had participated in an insurrection, the term that Democrats concocted for the protest by Trump supporters that went badly off the rails on January 6, 2021, but ultimately, their legal chicanery failed to convince him of her guilt.

Attorney Ron Fein, one of the hired guns who argued on behalf of a group of Georgia voters seeking to have Greene disqualified had clamed that the fiery lawmaker had, “urged, encouraged and helped facilitate violent resistance to our own government, our democracy and our Constitution,”

“She engaged in insurrection,” Fein said but much to his dismay, his fallacious case didn’t pass muster with Judge Beaudrot who, in his 19-page ruling, wrote that the burden of proof was on the plaintiffs and that the “challengers have failed to prove their case by a preponderance of the evidence.”

The decision on whether to allow Greene access to the ballot was left up to Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger who cleared the way on Friday night, capping off a brutal week for Democrats.

The congresswoman took to Twitter to celebrate her vindication.

“ACQUITTED.” MTG wrote, keeping it short and sweet.

Supporters of real democracy and not the Democrat talking point version of “democracy” took to Twitter to weigh in on the ruling.

Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald skewered hypocritical leftists after their bid to take down Greene went up in flames.

“The people passionately devoted to democracy and who are fighting on the front lines to save core democratic values and voting rights failed in their efforts to have a court deny incumbent GOP House Member Marjorie Taylor Greene the right to run for re-election,” he wrote.

“How can American democracy possibly survive if voters are allowed to choose their own representatives in Congress?” Greenwald asked in a follow-up tweet.

“Queen,” wrote Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of his House colleague.

The mood was more sour on the leftist side of the Twittersphere where some tried to make the bitter lemons into lemonade, putting all of their rotten eggs in their one remaining basket, Nancy Pelosi’s sham January 6 committee which will be holding public hearings next month in a spectacle reminiscent of the show trials staged by Stalin in the old Soviet Union.

Other anti-democracy leftists wailed in despair, sinking into a deep funk after the news broke.

Campaign Twitter account TeamMTG posted the following statement attributed to Greene in a series of Friday tweets.
