The stunning leak of a Supreme Court document that has led to speculation that the landmark abortion rights ruling Roe v. Wade could be struck down ignited the passions of activists who will be egged on by cynical Democrat politicians including failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
In the initial draft of conservative Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion in the closely watched Mississippi case that could end nearly a half-century of federal protection of abortion rights that was obtained by Politico, he wrote “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences,” words that quickly ignited a firestorm on the political left, a demoralized bunch looking for a strong leader.
To some, that leader could be Mrs. Clinton who didn’t hesitate to insert herself into the fray, condemning the court’s conservatives on Twitter shortly after Politico published its story on the alleged draft opinion.
“Not surprising. But still outrageous,” wrote Clinton. “This decision is a direct assault on the dignity, rights, & lives of women, not to mention decades of settled law. It will kill and subjugate women even as a vast majority of Americans think abortion should be legal. What an utter disgrace.”

Rather than recede into the background after her crushing loss to former President Donald J. Trump in the 2016 election, accepting a dignified role as an elder statesperson, the embittered former secretary of state has spent years fomenting discord, spreading disinformation, and never quite ruling out another White House run.
Clinton’s devotees took to Twitter immediately after the Politico bombshell, instantly sending her name trending.
One fun fact about the Supreme Court is that a third of its members were appointed by a professional con man who received nearly 3 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton, and then tried to stage a coup.

The timely leak came on a night when Clinton was getting media attention for her grand appearance at the annual Met Gala, the swanky New York City soiree where the elite gather to celebrate themselves, a celeb-laden fest where Hillary wore a costly designer dress emblazoned with the names of influential American women, one of them Harriet Tubman, to show that she’s down with the struggle.

“I would have filled the entire dress so I decided to stick with women who are no longer with us because that would have made it really impossible to have even one dress if I had everyone on it I admired,” Clinton said of her attire which inspired awe among the press.
Now that opportunity has cracked open the door for Clinton, some expect her to walk right through it.

The SCOTUS leak gives Democrats a chance to hit the reset button on Joe Biden’s failed presidency, the critical 2022 midterm elections, and perhaps more importantly, the 2024 presidential election with a Biden-Harris ticket not likely to energize the party’s base while a Hillary-Trump rematch would push all the right buttons.
With the near-octogenarian Biden visibly struggling and plagued by embarrassing gaffes and mental misfires, it’s probably reasonably safe to expect that Clinton – who while not much younger, hasn’t lost her sharpness – to elevate her profile.
And there would be no better cause than the Supreme Court and abortion for the left’s long lost shining light.
