Happy days were here again Saturday night when those who hold political power gathered together with members of a fawning and sycophantic press as the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner returned in its full nauseating glory for the first time in six years.

Those in attendance at the Washington Hilton were delighted that the White House was once again represented by the nation’s leader after former President Donald J. Trump declined to show up during his historic four year term, finding the grotesque event beneath his dignity, but it was another Republican who was heavy on the mind of Democrats and their enablers.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was the target of a series of barbs delivered by Daily Show host Trevor Noah who was the emcee a this year’s event and the audience ate it up.

“One of my favorites, Ron DeSantis is here. yeah! yeah!” Noah began, “Oh man, I’m actually surprised that he found the time, you know he’s been so busy trying to outmaneuver Trump for 2024, I see you Ron. I see you, player.”

“Yeah, I’ve seen what you’ve been doing, blaming Trump for the lockdowns, distancing yourself from the vaccines that Trump created with his own two hands,” Noah said as he launched into an impersonation of Trump boasting about the vaccines.

Noah continued, “But Ron is playing it coy man, he won’t even tell people if he got the booster, or as they say in Florida, don’t ask don’t tell, am I right? I see you Ron.

With that one joke, Noah  nailed it by inadvertently defining the difference between those in the room who embrace the idea that Americans should be forced to accept the jab or else and those who like Governor DeSantis, believe in freedom of choice including the freedom to make one’s own personal medical decisions, a concept that was widely accepted before Biden and his fellow authoritarians assumed power.

The comic then conjured a Hollywood reference for his next joke, the shapeshifting robot from “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” the T-1000.

“You see, what I like about Ron DeSantis is like if Trump was the original terminator, DeSantis is like the T-1000, you know you’re smarter than him, you’re slicker than him, you can walk down ramps, yeah.” Noah said as the audience laughed uproariously.

“Because you see no, Trump said he won the election, but everyone was just able to look at the numbers and see he was wrong,” he added, setting up his next joke.

“That’s why Ron DeSantis is one step ahead,” he said. “first you ban the math textbooks, then nobody knows how to count the votes. Boom, my man! HA! HA! HA!”

Noah’s last joke of course refers to the strong stand that DeSantis has taken against the depraved sexualizing of young children in Sunshine State classrooms and the proliferation of learning material that has been used to promote the toxic anti-white, anti-American ideology of Critical Race Theory, setting an example of how conservative leaders can fight back against the “woke” cultural revolution, something that the political left and their media cheerleaders hate.

Long a D.C. tradition, the annual WHCA dinner has in the 21st century devolved into a sickening lovefest and a celebration of the Democratic party which benefits immeasurably from its cozy relationship with a power-suckling press that gives the party’s politicians a free pass while churning out smears and hit pieces against Republicans.

In addition to Trump’s absence from one of the swamp’s most prestigious events, the last two dinners were postponed by COVID and on Saturday night, there was nary a mask in sight among those who have made it their mission to force others to wear one.

  1. Why is Trevor Noah, a non-citizen, giving real Americans political advice?

Even more important, why do any real Americans even listen to him?

  2. Who is this Noah guy? I have never heard of him except in BPR articles. He is an ignorant fool, who is not funny. Of course that describes all left wing “comics” because liberals have NO sense of humor at all.

    1. I’ve seen clips of him in other articles as well. You’re right, he is not funny. I think he has a show on one of the Bolshevik networks–either DNCNN or MSDNC.

They’re a hoot claiming that math textbooks were banned because they were all bought from one company. Why would books be needed from other companies when they could all use the same textbook!
