Time and again, talking heads on the left have shown themselves to be more puppet than pundit while parroting the corporate media narrative and, as one Democratic strategist demonstrated Thursday, they have no other course but to flee when faced with reality.
During a panel on the Fox Business Network program “Kennedy,” the host was joined by a spectrum of commentators that included conservative Chris Barron, libertarian comedian Dave Smith and Democrat Kristal Knight. The latter attempted to turn a conversation about President Joe Biden’s potential involvement in Hunter Biden’s business deals into an attack on Kennedy and was summarily rebuked as a “dingbat.”
“Why is Hunter a story?” Knight asked after calling the investigation a witch hunt.
“Well, because his dad and his uncle may have been enriched by dealing with Communist Chinese government officials. That’s a really big deal,” Kennedy added before countering the notion of it being a witch hunt on account of The New York Times and The Washington Post recent admission to the veracity of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Later in the segment, after mocking the notion that the Times and Post must therefore be Republican operatives to support Knight’s argument, Kennedy contended we’d be in a far different environment globally if not for the suppression of the story and said, “The fact that there is a war going on in Ukraine, and this government is doing nothing more than trying to prolong it, to weaken and to starve Russian citizens and not using diplomacy, and the fact that Joe Biden is in the middle of it, and Hunter Biden-”
“I’m sorry Kennedy,” Knight interrupted the host as she was making her point, “are you pro the invasion? Are you pro the invasion?” The Democratic strategist’s attempt to associate any sympathy for the plight of Russian citizens, who have taken the brunt of economic sanctions foisted upon the Russian federation and oligarchs in retaliation to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, as some form of pro-Putin argument did not sit well with Kennedy.
“Kristal, you are an absolute dingbat,” the host declared before unequivocally adding, “I am anti-war.”
“I’m a dingbat, is that what you just said?” Knight asked.
“Yes, you’re a dingbat if you think I’m pro-invasion-” Kennedy defended as a back-and-forth ensued with the other guests mostly observing with bemused expressions.
“I don’t think you should call your guests that. That’s not a good use of your platform,” the political commentator went on turning herself into a victim have completely lost any ground to stand on in the debate on facts.
“If my guests act like dingbats, then I call them dingbats,” Kennedy countered before lecturing her guest on her right to conduct her show as she she’s fit. When Knight attempted to say the host was yelling at her, Kennedy hit back, “No, I will watch my tone never, because the show is not called Kristal pokes her head in and starts giving advice that is completely unwarranted.”
“A dingbat,” Kennedy went on, “is very tame for what I tend to call people who are actual dingbats.” She also advised that her guest stick to the truth rather than resorting to falsehoods before they were interrupted for a commercial break.
When the program returned, Knight had departed the segment and Kennedy stated, “Chris Barron and Dave Smith are back. Kristal’s a coward and she left.”
Viewers of the program chimed in supporting Kennedy’s handling of the exchange.
