Oklahoma GOP Chair John Bennett, who is running for Congress, proclaimed at a campaign event that he believes Dr. Anthony Fauci should be put in front of a firing squad and be executed while attendees cheered and applauded the sentiment.

Bennett, 47, is running for Congress in Oklahoma’s June GOP primary. He’s seeking to represent Oklahoma’s second district in Congress. The veteran’s campaign slogan is “conservative to the core.” He was elected as chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party in April 2021 but is resigning from the position to focus on his congressional campaign, according to Mediaite.

The conservative firebrand is a staunch Second Amendment advocate and is adamantly against vaccine and mask mandates.

“We’re fighting communist Democrats. Establishment RINOs. We’re fighting against a system that stole the election in 2020 and nobody’s been held accountable,” he railed at the event.

“We’re in a war with bureaucrats that forced vaccine mandates on us, mask mandates on us, and you know what? They’re pushing this wokeness confusion down our throats now and by the way, we should try Anthony Fauci and put him in front of a firing squad,” he bluntly asserted to an enthusiastic audience.

“And for the Secret Service, if they’re listening,” Bennett continued, “I’m not advocating we kill Anthony Fauci… until he’s convicted of his crimes through a court.”

Bennett is a Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and is not afraid of controversy. He is not a fan of radical Islam or the Quran either.

“The Quran… 90% of it is violence,” he proclaimed during a 2016 event.

The Oklahoma Republican is not shy about being in favor of the right to bear arms as well.

In 2017, he ran for the Oklahoma State House. Bennett had flyers made up showing his family wearing American flag shirts and proudly carrying rifles. The flyers declared, “Only one candidate for State House is endorsed by the NRA!”

In July, on the Oklahoma Republican Party Facebook page, Bennett compared COVID vaccine mandates to the Star of David patches that European Jews were forced to wear to identify themselves during the Holocaust.

“Those who don’t KNOW history, are DOOMED to repeat it,” the caption on the post read showing a photo of a Star of David patch with “Unvaccinated” emblazoned across it.

Bennett is also embroiled in another controversy in Oklahoma involving the disestablishment of the Muscogee Nation’s reservation. He claims it will be one of his goals once he gets into Congress. The stance has to do with holding criminals accountable who commit atrocities on tribal lands. Reservations have their own police and their own laws and are typically not subject to state laws.

“Congress needs to go back, and they need to de-establish the Muscogee (Creek) Nation reservation. I say once they do that, then they can carry on as they have, you know, all of these years,” he told the Washington Examiner.

“So when I get to Congress, this will be one of my priorities, because it hurts everyone in my district, tribal and nontribal. And this is something that Congress should fix,” Bennett added.

A case was brought before the Supreme Court two years ago by Jimcy McGirt, who is a member of the Muscogee Nation and was convicted of raping a 4-year-old child in 1997. McGirt argued that the case should not have been in the jurisdiction of Oklahoma courts because the incident happened on tribal land.

“The only ones that are truly suffering are the ones that are trying to enforce the law and the victims,” Bennett said concerning the case. “It seems as if the perpetrators of these crimes are the ones that are truly getting away with some things.”

Since the landmark decision by the Supreme Court that expands Indian lands and their jurisdiction in Oklahoma has come into play, at least 235 inmates have been released from prison.

In a statement, the Inter-Council of the Five Civilized Tribes stated, “Candidates who seek to restrict our rights and disestablish our reservations, after the U.S. Supreme Court reaffirmed twice that they have always existed, do not deserve to represent our state.”
