Just hours after the $44 billion bid from Tesla CEO Elon Musk was accepted by Twitter shareholders, the social media company locked changes to its source code to prevent enraged leftists at the company from making retaliatory, unauthorized changes to the platform.
According to Bloomberg, which cited unnamed sources, the step was taken to ensure that disgruntled employees did not take their wrath out on the social media platform.
“Twitter imposed the temporary ban to keep employees who may be miffed about the deal from ‘going rogue,’ according to one of the people… Many of the company’s employees have been agitated about the idea of Musk taking charge and what changes may come,” the media outlet reported.
At least temporarily, Twitter will not allow updates to the platform unless they are “business-critical.” Any such changes will have to be approved by the vice-president of the company. The company is now a private entity totally under the control of Elon Musk. There is reportedly no longer a board of directors.
A software company that has to lock down its own product's source code to prevent its own employees from making unauthorized alterations out of retaliation, kinda admits they have a massive problem and have had massive problems for a long while…$TWTR #Twitter https://t.co/6NsqU30mrO

Conservative Human Events host Jack Posobiec posted comments by Twitter employees who were enraged that Musk was taking the company private. Some of those sentiments included claims of “Elon being a troll and ignorant of Twitter policies” and his “inability to monitor toxicity on the platform.”

Disclose.tv tweeted that employees had added an empty public repository called “the-algorithm” on Github before the source code was frozen.
“JUST IN – Twitter employees apparently added a public repository called ‘the-algorithm’ on the platform’s Github account shortly before the source code was locked. Musk said he wanted to make the Twitter algorithm open source,” Disclose.tv stated.
“For non-techies: It seems that some developers at Twitter wanted to send a message to Elon Musk by uploading this empty software repository,” the account added.

So many people have no idea why an entire political ideology has an issue with @elonmusk taking over @Twitter. Just wait until Musk releases the source code – you have no idea how much you've been manipulated by sources you've believed had your best interests at heart.

During a meeting with Twitter employees on Monday, CEO Parag Agrawal attempted to quiet the panic among staff, according to The New York Times.
“He wants Twitter to be a powerful, positive force in the world, just like all of us,” Agrawal told them. “He believes Twitter matters.”
Employees were reportedly informed that there would be no layoffs or other major changes during the next six months until the deal is finalized, according to the Daily Mail.
This is not the first time that Twitter has locked updates to its own source code. It was previously done before major events such as the Super Bowl to prevent “mistakes from appearing and ensure continuity.”
Musk previously stated that he had no faith in the company’s management and would be unable to unlock and fulfill Twitter’s true potential with them in charge. He took the company private in order to have full control over restoring free speech to the platform and it is rumored he will clean house now that he is at the helm.

The Musk universe is expanding rapidly. Not only does he own Tesla and SpaceX, but he is also the co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI and the founder of The Boring Company. Social media giant Twitter is now a part of his massive holdings and the tech tycoon is evidently just getting started.

GO ELAN MUSK! “Tho I “think” he’s a bit “strange”, this guy has a BRAIN & “thankfully”, it’s in the right place! EVERYBODY has a right to “their” opinion. The problem with algorithms “IS” that it’ ONLY the LEFT & the Dems “think” that their algorithms are the only “way” to “THINK”. Well, the rest of the WORLD “thinks” otherwise.! Twitter shut down free speech. My Mac I “trying” to do the same thing. BUT !! Free speech will prevail & so will TRUMP! He, like Elon HAS A BRAIN, which is more than I can ay for Biden & the White House!
You have to laugh at the dude who claims Elon “is ignorant of Twitter policies”.
He understands Twitter policies VERY WELL. That is EXACTLY why he bought the place. So he can change those toxic policies.
Elons best bet would be to clean house and get rid of all the left freaks. put in his own people he can trust and those that can prove they will do as he says can have a chance later. I for one am thrilled to death about this move and will return to Twitter.
I would love to see footage of Agarwal packing up his office.
Take that, you fascist anti-free speech brown shirt. Go run a scam call center back home in India. It is more suited to your thinking.
Elon Musk needs to fire everyone from Twitter, start by hiring his own people. Don’t make the same mistake Trump did when he became president. Most liberals are snakes, without morals.
He needs to move HQ to Texas or Florida. Hard-core Lefties would never survive.
I tried to reopen my twitter account today and it just went in circles so I couldn’t. Maybe this is why!
Already hearing rumblings related to Atlas Shrugged. Expect attempts at legislation aimed at attempting to reverse via legislation whatever they can get through. Don’t think it will work now. Desperation lead to panic some time ago relative to midterms….these people are capable of anything.
Maybe Musk will buy THIS site! 😂😆😎
Musk needs to get rid of every libtard at Twitter. That means all of them. Just like Trump will need to flush every demorat out of the administration when he returns.
WHERE can so many DISTURBED libers go?? WHO in their right mind would hire them?? Maybe THAT is what has them so upset rather than they will have a NEW BOSS that is a BRILLIANT businessman who values honesty, HARD work, and INTELLIGENCE! WAIT – NOW I see what the big deal is For the twitteratis!!
HQ is in SF now. They will just live on the street like the rest of the useless bums there.
Hopefully with Musk owning Twitter now, we’ll see all that these cockroaches have been up to. I’m sure most of us have some pretty good ideas.
