Fox News Digital attempted to gain some insight into the thinking of several companies that adamantly pledged support to the Black Lives Matter organization but have since fallen silent.
After two years of riots, looting and leftist imbecility that police departments be defunded in the wake of habitual criminal George Floyd’s death, FBI data find that murders among the black population spiked by 32 percent in 2020 as compared to the prior year, and by an astounding 43 percent when compared to the 10-year average, Fox News Digital reported earlier in April.
That is part of the largest single-year increase in murder since the agency began collecting data on the crime.
Giants such as Amazon and beauty product supplier Ulta were all too quick to sing the praises of BLM, and they along with countless other companies donated millions of dollars to dubious activist groups in the name of social justice.
At least 7,484 black Americans were murdered in 2019, according to FBI data the outlet reported April 19. That number swelled to at least 9,941 murders in 2020, indicating an increase of 2,457 black Americans murdered compared to the previous year.
Contrary to what legacy media and Democrats dishonestly have maintained, experts such as the Manhattan Institute’s Heather Mac Donald argue that spikes in murder “began months after lockdowns beginning only after riots,” and the rise “was not at all related to COVID.”
The Equal Justice Initiative and the National Urban League are two notable proponents of the police defunding movement and the recipients of funds from such companies as Nike, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Ben & Jerry’s, Nordstrom, Target and Ulta, the outlet reported.
None have responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
The Equal Justice Initiative advocates for repurposing of “funds from traditional policing to services that promote public safety.” The National Urban League details on its website that it has “21 Pillars” for “comprehensive and realistic reform and accountability,” including “collaborate with communities to re-envision public safety” and “change divisive policing policies.”
Ben and Jerry’s joined the bandwagon as well, announcing in 2020, “Today, we want to be even more clear about the urgent need to take concrete steps to dismantle white supremacy in all its forms.”
Neither the Equal Justice Initiative nor the National Urban League have responded to Fox’s request for comment. As can be expected, the Black Lives Matter press team has rebuffed multiple requests for comment as well.
Jeff Bezos’ global giant Amazon – for its part – has suspended the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation from its charity platform after the group refused to disclose where tens of millions of donated funds were spent.
Former executive director of President Trump’s National Diversity Coalition, Bruce LeVell, penned an op-ed that chastised corporations for their “huge miscalculation” in backing the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation.
“Black lives do matter. I say that as a Black man myself, but the concept isn’t really in dispute among ordinary, right-thinking Americans of any race or ethnicity,” LeVell wrote in the Tennessee Star last Thursday. “The BLMGNF does everything it can to cultivate the opposite impression because it profits off grievance politics – but its narrative couldn’t be further from the truth.”
“Unfortunately, BLMGNF has intimidated the leaders of some of America’s largest corporations into paying fealty to its harmful and deceptive narrative,” LeVell continued. “Rather than challenging the Marxist provocateurs at BLMGNF, corporate leaders have prostrated themselves and even donated shareholder resources to a cause that is intrinsically opposed to free markets, individual liberties, law and order, and everything else that allows American businesses to thrive.”

Wonder how all these companies feel to know they bought mansions for the BLM scammers, who claimed to be “leaders!”
BLM is just following the example of Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton in intimidating corporations and getting the corps to give money to race grifters.
The problem is as old as the gang infested ghettos.
Black criminal lives matter to BLM.
Unborn black lives do not matter to BLM.
Black middle class lives in inner cities being murdered by black criminals do not matter to BLM.
