FAA to keep ‘zero tolerance policy’ after mask mandate lifted, airlines grapple with who can come back

Though it’s probably unnecessary, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it will keep in place its “zero tolerance policy” for unruly passengers following the striking down of mask mandates on public transportation after a federal court ruling on Monday.

Erstwhile FAA Administrator Steve Dickson implemented the policy in 2021 and declared it would remain in place as long as the government was lording over the FAA and its travelers. That policy will now remain in effect indefinitely.

Following the court ruling, Delta Airlines oh-so-graciously reinstated flight privileges to some 2,000-plus travelers it had previously barred from flying with the airline due to their alleged misconduct, the Daily Mail reported.

The Atlanta-based carrier said it will restore passengers “only after each case is reviewed and each customer demonstrates an understanding of their expected behavior when flying with us. Any further disregard for the policies that keep us all safe will result in placement on Delta’s permanent no-fly list.”

Delta maintains a blacklist of sorts, composed of around 1,000 passengers it has deemed unfit to fly with them. Passengers in the past “who demonstrated egregious behavior and are already on the permanent no-fly list” shall not pass.

Delta is following a similar plan to save face announced Tuesday by United Airlines, the latter of which will allow approximately 1,000 passengers to reacquire normal status with the airline on a “case by case basis.”

The Chicago-based carrier said it will reinstate those past offenders “after ensuring their commitment to follow all crewmember instructions on board.”

Delta clarified that previous violators of their masking policy will be scrutinized – and they best behave – for the airline promises that “any further disregard for the policies that keep us all safe will result in placement on Delta’s permanent no-fly list.”

As can be expected, Delta is petitioning the U.S. Department of Justice to establish a permanent, federally-enforced no-fly list for the most heinous offenders. That action would be, incidentally, a true manifestation of fascism, contrary to the thousands of misnomers planted by the mainstream media and cultivated in the Twittersphere. To quote conservative radio host Chris Plante, “They use the words, but they don’t know what they mean.”

Also unsurprisingly, the Biden regime said Wednesday it plans to appeal the ruling. The fight will likely end up in the Supreme Court, which earlier this year struck down a vaccine mandate for private businesses with more than 100 employees in a 6-3 ruling, the outlet reported.

Many see the small victory of a Florida judge’s ruling to vacate the mask mandate to be exactly what it is: A small victory.

After two years of Gestapo-like procedures, perhaps public transportation employees who were just following orders need not be congratulated for continuing to follow orders, so says Candace Owens among others.

As BPR reported, Owens railed against the hammer-and-sickle style of government that far too many Americans have come to accept as she spoke on the Tuesday edition of Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“And to me, as happy as I am, as relieved as I am that I can go on a plane and not wear a mask, I don’t feel like this is a win because we shouldn’t be cheering on the restoration of our basic human right,” she said. “We should be infuriated and we should want to see these people face consequences ’cause guess what, Tucker, the CDC broke the law. That’s the ruling says [sic]. It was unconstitutional.”

“Similarly, OSHA broke the law,” she added. “They were trying to overreach and decide if they could do things that they had entirely no power to do so. When regular people break the law, Tucker, they go to prison. Why is Rochelle Walensky, and the CDC, and the members of the FDA, and the drug cartel that’s operating our country any exception to that rule?”

“It’s unacceptable and I’m not going to cheer until we see people are behind bars. What they have done to the dignity of human beings, forcing them to sit behind masks that we know do not work to stop the spread of the virus,” Owens concluded.

  1. In my opinion Candace Owens is correct and wise beyond her years. The Biden Administration as well as the Democratic Party have caused damage beyond belief to the citizens of our country by trying to illegally eliminate our rights under our Constitution with their unconstitutional power grab.
