White House press secretary Jen Psaki is on the receiving end of criticism after rude remarks about Fox News reporter Peter Doocy who has frequently sparred with Biden’s top flack during her daily press briefings, referring to him as a “stupid son of a b*tch” during a recent podcast.

One of those who believe that the outgoing spinmeister was out of line is Lynn Sweet, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Chicago Sun-Times who broke ranks with the Biden administration’s defenders during an appearance on CNN with the network’s chief media correspondent Brian Stelter.

During an appearance on the “Pod Save America” podcast last week, Psaki commented about Biden’s attack on Doocy whom he insulted as a “stupid son of a b*tch” on a hot mic at a January White House press conference, agreeing with her boss with the caveat that the intrepid reporter only acts like a “stupid son of a b*tch” is because of the questions that he is provided with by Fox News.

“He works for a network that provides people with questions that — nothing personal to any individual, including Peter Doocy — but might make anyone sound like a stupid son of a bitch,” she said.

Sweet expressed her disappointment with Psaki after offering her observations on Biden’s unpopularity as the nation’s 46th president continues his downward trajectory in the polls as the one-two punch in the gut of record gas prices and skyrocketing food costs fuel a foul mood with voters who are expected to punish Democrats at the polls in November and beyond.

After discussing the RNC’s decision to withdraw from the Commission on Presidential Debates, Stelter asked his guest, “Does this relate to White House press secretary Jen Psaki taking a swipe at Fox’s White House reporter Peter Doocy?”

“She was on this liberal podcast the other day and she made a comment about Fox providing him questions that are stupid questions,” he said. “She clearly doesn’t like Fox’s narratives but Fox is defending Doocy now, is this related to the points do you think, about Biden and Trump?”

“Actually, I don’t think so, maybe I have a little different view on it. She got lulled into losing her discipline,” Sweet replied. “This podcast is made by her friends, they go back to the Kerry campaign, they worked in the Obama White House.”

“She was forgetting what her real job is which is to communicate on behalf of the president, okay?” Sweet added. “She even repeated some of the swear words that the questioner asked in the question, upping the ante.”

“Now if you listen to everything she said, however, she also said why she said what you said about taking a swipe about Peter was given questions, she went on to say and the whole totality is I also have a very nice Peter Doocy story where she complimented on a moment of grace as she put it,” she said.

The original exchange that Psaki was referring to would have ignited a firestorm of media outrage if former President Donald J. Trump had made it to a liberal reporter like Jim Acosta.

When asked about Biden’s profanity toward Doocy after it occurred, Psaki laughingly snarked it off.

Sweet’s scolding likely won’t cause Psaki to lose much sleep, she already has one foot out the door, fleeing the sinking ship of the Biden administration for the safe space of an MSNBC studio.
