Christina Pushaw crowd sources reply to journo on DeSantis appointments by race and it’s pure gold

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ spokeswoman Christina Pushaw put her full ownership of left-wing media hacks on display Monday when she crowdsourced response to an overtly biased question about the race of some of the governor’s appointments.

Florida Phoenix columnist Craig Pittman looked to be participating in a back and forth Monday with Pushaw when he accused, albeit politely, her boss of underlying racism in his governing decisions, specifically regarding his appointments for water management.

“Thanks,” he began seemingly responding to something Pushaw had written. “What conclusion should I draw from the fact that all his water management appointments have been white folks? Cordially, Craig.”

The timestamp suggested Pushaw wasted next to no time in her decision to seek the public’s input on Pittman’s less than thought-provoking inquiry. “How should I respond to this journalist’s question?” she asked on Twitter before noting, “PS: Craig is white.”

As the answers came flying in covering the absurdity of Pittman’s accusation against DeSantis, Pushaw was more than happy to include her official response to the biased reporter.

“It is not my job to tell you ‘what conclusion to draw’ when it’s abundantly clear that you have drawn your conclusions already,” she wrote in response a little more than a half-hour later. “I have the utmost confidence that you will interpret any and all demographic analysis of the governor’s appointments in a way that furthers your disingenuous narrative, regardless of my input.”

In a shot at the self-described “muckraker,” President Joe Biden’s recent behavior in nominating Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and to Democrats in general who continue to push divisive policies, she added, “Governor DeSantis does not view appointments or anything else through the prism of race.”

Pushaw later added, “Maybe he should give his job to a person of color. He works for the Florida Phoenix which is almost entirely white, like most of Florida media, which I must say is surprising for such a diverse state.”

Others had been quick to point out the typical hypocrisy as well.

Pittman had attempted to win back the argument during the public exchange by calling out Pushaw’s public shaming through “snark.”

However, Pittman had brought this one on himself by disabusing himself from journalistic integrity and so, Pushaw made sure everyone knew exactly where he stood when DeSantis had appointed a person of color in his administration.

The collage of tweets from Pittman were all attacking the highly qualified Harvard Medical School graduate Dr. Joseph Ladapo for his appointment as Florida’s Surgeon General. All were linked to articles from Florida newspapers including the Tampa Bay Times for which Pittman attests he covered environmental issues since 1998.

This prompted one observer to note that Pittman may want to consider his own intrinsic bias on the views of black people.

One thing was made abundantly clear by the exchange though. Pushaw did not march blindly into the fray Monday morning.

  1.  Craig Pittman, there is an old saying that you may want to consider the next time you decide you want to step in it. The saying goes, it is better to just stand around and look stupid then to open your mouth and relieve all doubt. Being you are so concerned about race and black people not being in certain positions when do you plan to give your position to some black deserving person? The world would like to know.

  3. Various doctors say families of loved ones hospitalized with covid19 are resorting to desperate measures when approved treatments(slow death protocols) have failed. When it’s not too late, some have seen tremendous success by sneaking Ivermectin medication prohibited by hospitals to patients. It is really sad situation what has our country become.
