‘The energy is palpable’: Gov. DeSantis’ Dem challenger’s miniscule crowd draws vicious mockery

While Florida Democrats may talk a good game, pulling off what would be an earthshaking political upset by preventing popular Governor Ron DeSantis from being elected to a second term is truly a monumental task as is evident by the paltry crowd drawn to a recent rally by challenger Nikki Fried.

The smack-talking Fried spoke to supporters in the panhandle where she railed against DeSantis who had just signed a tough new pro-life bill into law, the latest Republican governor to do so.

But the turnout for the sitting Florida Secretary Of Agriculture was a major embarrassment.

Video of Fried’s event that was posted to Twitter by a reporter for Pensacola ABC affiliate WEAR underscores how difficult it is going to be for Dems to topple DeSantis, especially one as unlikable as the ambitious former weed lobbyist whose popularity on social media isn’t matched by her real-life appeal.

Making Fried’s big speech even more sad and pathetic is that the crowd included staffers.

The video wasn’t only a major optics problem for the only Democrat elected statewide but served as fuel for the inevitable mockery on Twitter.

Following the posting of the humiliating video, Fried took to Twitter to come out of left field with claims about a supposed sex tape that nobody seems to have heard anything about.

“It’s absurd that I have to dignify this, but there is no sex tape. Sorry to disappoint. Also sorry basically every successful woman has to deal with these types of rumors,” she wrote.

Mockery again ensued over the gubernatorial candidate’s bizarre tweet which many felt appeared to be an effort to start rumors about herself for attention and sympathy.

Regardless of the tiny crowd, it is practically mission impossible for Fried or any Democrat to topple DeSantis whose name recognition and approval have soared thanks to the hysterical overreaction to Florida’s parental rights bill that was a severe blow to the left’s sinister agenda of “grooming” of young children in classrooms, a major misfire on the part of activists, mouthy celebrities and “woke” corporations like Disney.

Not only is DeSantis hugely popular but he is also a fundraising juggernaut, having broken the $100 million mark, an awesome war chest that should strike fear in the hearts of Democrats, especially if former President Donald J. Trump declines to run in 2024.

Fried still has to win the state’s Democrat primary against former GOP governor Charlie Crist who jumped parties during the Obama years, and Florida State Senator Annette Taddeo, all of whom are getting clobbered by DeSantis in a recent poll.

  1. I am not hearing a lot about the Republican Party doing very much on Election Security. Her campaign crowd looked just like Corn Pop Joe’s in most of his campaign rallies. Yet, some way, some how he won the election in a landslide and a record number of votes! The Republican Party members whine and make excuses about what happened but I am not convinced there will be a landslide victory in the mid terms nor 2024 until I start hearing about a concerted effort of security procedures that will allow Republican monitors to do their jobs and that votes are in on a deadline.(Not being allowed in a minute or more after the polls close)

  2. We had our Family and Friends over for Easter Dinner. There weren’t as many as the last couple of years, but there were more than in that picture! She should have bought those WHITE CIRCLES that “Pres LOL” had – I think five or six of the twenty were unused!

  8. So, she is standing there arguing about a bill that limits how late in pregnancy one can kill their unborn child. What a creep. I saw on a shirt that stated, democraps make a difference. It should read democraps are demons and baby killers and child molesters. At least she had a bigger crowd then creepy Joe has. Looks like most of her audience was a bunch of hateful feminists with a lot of pelvic congestion. She doesn’t stand a chance. Creep.

  14. Ms Fried is getting is coming off as being over cooked! The democrats are in serious trouble and they keep making it worse for themselves. It works for me! I have no use for their political strategies that will only further the destruction of our country!

    1. That’s what we thought about the Delaware Dumba$$, but the Le=t managed to manu=acture enough =raudulent votes to put him in the White House.

      We have to be VERY vigilant about this election. If you haven’t done it yet, volunteer as a poll watcher in your state. Keep an eye on every move they make. Don’t leave the building i= anyone else remains. Stay outside and watch to ensure no truck drop any “extra” ballot shipments.

      We have to do this everywhere. Keep you phones charged and your eyes OPEN. We need to ensure that the last election is last time the Le=f is allowed to steal =rom the people.

    1. She has a dog gone good chance of winning. Practically all of Supervisors of elections in Florida are dimocrats. And they know how to cheat!
