An alleged road-rage driver named Vincent Jean in Elizabeth, New Jersey reportedly ran over an unidentified 23-year-old woman three times with his Mitsubishi SUV on Tuesday following a minor fender bender in New Jersey, resulting in the victim clinging to life with a broken spine and a severed liver.
The incident reportedly occurred following the collision when the driver attempted to leave the scene. The victim pulled out a camera and began taking pictures of his car while following him up the street. That was when Jean allegedly lost it and used his car to try and kill her.
Witnesses were shocked as Jean not only appeared to cut over yards and a sidewalk to hit the woman but backed up to hit her a second and third time presumably to make sure she was dead, according to Union County authorities. She ran in terror screaming but could not outrun the SUV.
A witness only identified as Isaac said, “She should never have survived” after the attempted murder. His outdoor camera caught the video in graphically violent detail. The victim is now in the hospital in critical condition following at least one surgery.

“I walked out and saw the school bus stopped. People were running and screaming and it was just crazy. I saw the lady was lying on the grass across the street. I looked at this woman and it was just awful,” Isaac said.
“We took a blanket as the grass was really still wet and I asked my wife – who was a nurse – if she was alive. She said the woman said ‘thank you’ to her when she passed it over. Every time I look at the video it makes me feel sick,” he remarked. “By the last time she got run over she looked completely out of it on the ground. She should never have survived that.”
Witnesses screamed, “Stop, stop!” but the driver didn’t pay attention to them as he focused his murderous wrath on the young woman. They also yelled, “Yo, what the f***! What the f***!” as the victim was mowed down.
“He turned the car around and drove over her again. The lunatic – a maniac. He drove over her again, and the people were screaming,” Isaac said, according to News 12 The Bronx.

“At that point, the suspect drove his car directly at the victim and she began to run onto the lawn to avoid being struck. The suspect drove onto the lawn and struck the victim, then drove over her before backing up and deliberately running her over a second time,” County Prosecutor William Daniel stated.
According to the Daily Mail, the suspect Jean, 56, is obsessed with the video game Grand Theft Auto. He allegedly has clips of it all over his social media.
Jean was arrested after reportedly fleeing the scene and was charged with attempted first-degree murder and third-degree assault with a vehicle. He is being held at Union County Jail pending a pretrial detention hearing.

“The family would like to express its gratitude for the expedient response to this incident by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, the Elizabeth Police Department, EMS workers as well as Elizabeth Mayor, Chris Bollwage. We also want to thank the citizens of Elizabeth for their aid and support, especially the school bus driver who intervened and the neighbor who provided the security camera footage of this horrific crime,” the victim’s family said in a statement.
“Your actions and cooperation with law enforcement led to the quick apprehension of the perpetrator. These collective efforts along with the hard-working and diligent actions of the doctors and healthcare professionals at University Hospital saved our daughter’s life,” they added.
“What this man did to our daughter was atrocious and no parent, child or any human being should ever have to endure this. We want to be clear that this was not the result of any domestic dispute. This man was a complete stranger who committed a heinous act of road rage and attempted to kill our daughter simply because she was trying to get necessary information to lawfully report an accident while he was fleeing the scene,” the statement continued.
“Although we are heartbroken and deeply saddened by what happened, we are thankful that our daughter is alive. We are now focused on her care and recovery and will rely on the law enforcement professionals and the court system to dispense justice. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support but we ask that you respect our family’s privacy during this time,” the message concluded.

I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.

Small point. Why do people run in straight lines when being chased by a car. Cars can’t turn quickly but a simple side step is all they need
because when you panic, your higher level thought processes go out the window.
