Black Lives Matter is receiving fierce criticism from unexpected places, namely from New York City’s black liberal mayor, Eric Adams.
“Here’s my question that I put out to the city: Hey, I thought black lives mattered. Where are all those who stated black lives matter?” he angrily asked in an NY1 interview Wednesday, a day after NYC was hit with a spate of shootings.
“Three people were killed and at least 13 others were wounded in a series of shootings that rocked parts of the Bronx and Brooklyn late Tuesday and early Wednesday,” as reported by the New York Post.
“The fatalities included a 23-year-old woman and two men, 22 and 21, all killed in separate Bronx shootings. At least five other shootings were reported in New York City during a roughly six-hour span,” the outlet added.
Continuing his interview remarks, Adams added, “Then go do an analysis of who was killed or shot last night. I was up all night speaking to my commanders in the Bronx, in Brooklyn. The victims were black. Many of the shooters were black.”
Listen:
“I thought Black lives matter?” Adams said in response to a @RuschellBoone question about a spate of shootings overnight. “If Black lives matter, then the thousand of people I saw on the street when Floyd was murdered should be on the street right now.” https://t.co/GxH6Zaiu2b pic.twitter.com/nhzoTqqQXY

While talk is cheap, his forceful denunciation of BLM may very well have marked the first time that any prominent Democrat has ever called out the group.
His slam of the group comes as BLM faces widespread scrutiny (except from the Democrat Party) over its allegedly crooked spending habits.
A recent report by New York magazine revealed that in 2020, the group spent $5.8 million to purchase a lavish 6,500-square-foot mansion in California.
So many red flags raised by the $6 million purchase of an L.A. mansion by the charity of Black Lives Matter.
BLM hasn’t come close to explaining this. And the Biden DOJ can’t ignore it any longer.

A separate report revealed that BLM’s Canadian branch had purchased an $8.1 million mansion using money forwarded to it from its main branch in the U.S.
The outcry over the group’s sketchy finances led two far-left states, California and Washington, into threatening legal actions, and Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, a Republican, into launching an investigation to “find out where” all the money the group had collected “went and how it was spent.”
Subsequently, Amazon booted BLM from its charity platform, AmazonSmile, according to the Washington Examiner, which was the first outlet to report the bombshell news.
“The move deprives BLM of a major revenue source that has provided $306 million to U.S. charities and comes less than two years after Amazon itself donated $10 million to BLM and 11 other social justice groups amid the nationwide unrest spurred by George Floyd’s killing,” as reported by the Examiner.

Meanwhile, BLM has yet to say anything — not even a word — about the spate of crimes occurring throughout the country, particularly in NYC.
“Major crimes are up 44 percent compared to last year, according to NYPD statistics from earlier this month. And shootings, which had already doubled over 2019, rose another 14 percent over the last year,” according to Politico.
Adams, a former cop who ran on a crime-fighting platform, “has traveled to crime scenes across the five boroughs to talk with victims and hold press conferences.”
The one exception was on Tuesday, when, following the mass shooting in a Brooklyn subway, he issued a statement from his home because of his quarantine status.
His decision to remain in quarantine earned him a bit of criticism, but days later, he’s now being praised profusely for standing up to BLM.

@NYCMayor you hit the nail on the head… Hypocrites is a good term for BLM… because if they really care… they be in the streets everytime someone gets shot and not only when they can riot and create chaos
— Subway Stories (@MyDailyTrip_NYC) April 14, 2022
@NYCMayor the answer to your question is that they are waiting for another white cop to kill another black man. Those are the only lives that #BLM cares about. Their track record proves that. No mentions of the hundreds of black lives everyday that are taken away in the streets

Its about time that @NYCMayor @NYCMayorsOffice is calling out the #BLM leaders out on their bullshit.
You dont see them in the streets protesting because they are too fucking busy having a good time in their new $6-million dollar mansion they just purchase off ppls donations.
