The questionable financial dealings of Black Lives Matter have created a major public relations problem, specifically the shady $6 million purchase of a California mansion that has led to calls for accountability and on Monday, the group sought to reassure its supporters.

BLM took to social media to engage in damage control as the scandal over “Creator’s House” continues to draw attention and in a long Twitter thread, apologized to true believers in the cause which increasingly looks to be a massive grifting operation as media that has been timid, if not supportive, begins to apply scrutiny to the group’s management of donation money.

A bombshell exposé by New York Magazine shed light on the 2020 real estate deal in which the 6,500 square foot Studio City compound was purchased by BLM for $5.8 million less than a week after it originally sold for $3.1 million to a developer close to the organization. A difference of $2.7 million with the peculiar involvement of an LLC incorporated by lawyers for powerhouse Democrat law firm Perkins Coie, raising serious questions, including from Republican Rep. Darrell Issa who has called for a Justice Department investigation.

Seeking to regain control of the narrative, BLM promised to improve transparency while claiming that “inflammatory and speculative articles” are doing harm to organizers who work “in service of Black liberation daily.”

“There have been a lot of questions surrounding recent reports about the purchase of Creator’s House in California,” the group wrote along with a link to an article claiming that the property is a “safe dream space, for us, by us.”

“Despite past efforts, BLMGNF recognizes that there is more work to do to increase transparency and ensure transitions in leadership are clear,” the group wrote. “We know narratives like this cause harm to organizers doing brilliant work across the country and these reports do not reflect the totality of the movement. We apologize for the distress this has caused to our supporters and those who work in service of Black liberation daily.”

“We also recognize the confusion recent inflammatory and speculative articles have caused,” BLM added, casting stones at the media coverage of the murky transaction. “We are redoubling our efforts to provide clarity about BLMGNF’s work. In the coming weeks, we will unveil new initiatives to increase transparency and accountability, and to continue reshaping what radical philanthropy looks like for Black people.”

“BLMGNF is working diligently to increase operations transparency, including an internal audit, tightening compliance operations, and creating a new board to help steer the organization to its next evolution,” the group added, assuring supporters that measures are being taken to bolster confidence through future transparency.

“Black creativity is necessary and vital to Black survival. BLM has always held that tradition sacred, partnering with artists of every kind since our founding,” BLM wrote, “That’s why Creator’s House was purchased – to provide a space for Black folks to share their gifts with the world and hone their craft as they see fit, under the conditions that work best for them and outside systems of oppression in creative industries.”

“We are embracing this moment as an opportunity for accountability, healing, truth-telling, and transparency. We understand the necessity of working intentionally to rebuild trust so we can continue forging a new path that sustains Black people for generations,” BLM added, stating that it is essential to rebuild trust to fulfill its mission.

How much is the mansion a problem for BLM? Even The Washington Post is calling for transparency.

It’s been a steep fall for Black Lives Matter since the 2020 summer of rage that erupted after the death of George Floyd who met his demise while high on drugs and resisting arrest, mayhem that the group used to gain the support of politicians, the media, the federal bureaucracy, celebrities, sports leagues and corporations, and a global following, but most importantly, it was about making bank.

Problems with BLM leadership were apparent when co-founder Patrisse Cullors who has openly admitted that she has been inspired by Marxist ideology was forced to resign over questions about her own real estate dealings, fueling speculation that the organization wasn’t as down with the cause as advertised.

The “Creator’s House” which is also referred to internally as “the complex,” has six bedrooms, a pool, and parking for 20 cars as well as other luxury features.

  1. Are Black People really so gullible as to financially support anything another black person puts in front of them without question? BLM, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, on and on it goes, and this stupidity is because of white supremists?

  2. I wonder if Pedo Joe advised them on how to grift millions then spew diversions and lies about it?

***Here’s hoping that gnarly wart on Collour’s nappy haid turns out to be melanoma.

  3. They were just planning to appear in Cribs on BET. Highlighting all the accomplishments they have made. Their interior decorators were just busted for stealing 50,000 of Gucci items in New York. Apparently, they already had stolen 70,000 worth of items earlier. They just wanted their mansion to look nice. With all that money the idiots that donated to blm, they plan on writing a book. The title is, Pimp your Momma. Inside will be great advice as how not to get caught after committing felonies. Even if getting exposed on camera stealing a car or pushing a woman off a platform, cry racism and hire a lawyer and sue. Also, there will be info on how to blame institutionalized racism and white privilege despite your heinous crimes. When asked why they peppered sprayed grand ma and beat her before stealing her car. Just say you were going on a joy ride. Totally innocent. The idiots that gave them money are the fools.

  4. They were out looting before there BLM slogan started , as I call it black lives crime matters too . As does the crime from the teachers Unions , to confront children about sex ! They should be jailed for it’s a form of ill repute . How’s Sodom and Gomorrah sound to ya .

  5. The People’s House…. Ha ha ha. Funniest damn thing I read in a long, long time. Truth is… this POS got caught scamming the system…. and as someone mentioned in this post, BLM scammed woke companies just like Reverend Al and Jesse Jackson did – what a shakedown!!!

  6. F**K blm, antifa, and all the other fringe lunatic groups out there They are more corrupt and more dangerous than they pretend to be.

  7. BLM was founded by a bunch of scammers and racists- that knew they were going to get paid millions-from the cowardly corporations and government of this country-just like AL Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have been doing for 5 decades.

    1. Dats da way dey do bidness. Dey got rites and aint no honkey gots da rite to say nuttin bout dit. Dey do things dair way and iffin anyone objectifies it din dey racist.

  8. DemocRATS pretending to be surprised that blm didn’t spend a dime of those millions in donations on a single black person be like. Lol!

  9. The BLM evolved into a terrorist group the same as Antifa. Now, with the stupid comments made by them they have become a collection of “transparent” buffoons!!

  10. Every statement made on behalf of blm was made by a lawyer and not by anybody from blm. It’s obvious because the language used was too sophisticated. They never said “yo” even once.

  11. These vile nasty thieves have no morals and souls they’re corrupt to the core. They’ll sell their mother for a dime.
