Co-host Sunny Hostin asserted on “The View” Thursday that her family considered suing the Trump administration at one point following the deaths of her in-laws from COVID and her cohorts gleefully fantasized over the absurd prospect of doing so.
Leftists have engaged in never-ending misplaced blame against former President Donald Trump and his team following the outbreak of the pandemic and how he handled it.
“If all these people who got COVID because of the lies and misinformation, isn’t there a class-action suit that they can sue that administration and all those people who took her words and changed them or took them out,” asked co-host Joy Behar, viciously relishing the idea of finding some way to sue or imprison Trump.
She was apparently addressing guest co-host Stephanie Grisham, who was one of the White House press secretaries during the Trump administration, but Hostin ran with the answer.
“My family has thought about this a lot, especially because Manny’s parents died from COVID, and I blame the Trump administration for that,” a bitter Hostin stated, referring to her husband, Emmanuel Hostin, and his now-deceased parents.

“But can you sue them?” Behar pressed holding out hope upon hope of doing so.
“We’ve explored it,” claimed Hostin. “We’ve explored it. We’ve thought about it.”
She gave no reason why her family never pursued a lawsuit. It is probable that there were no grounds for doing so and therefore there was no complaint filed.

Prior to Hostin’s claim, Grisham also dubiously charged that she was actively prevented from handling official White House communications on COVID at one point.
“I actually had a problem putting some of the information out, and when I raised those concerns, all messaging, if you can imagine this, all messaging about COVID got taken away from me, the press secretary, me, the director of communications, and the entire West Wing communications team of about 40, and it was transferred to the vice president’s team,” she carped according to The Hill.
The Hot Topics discussion involved a recent interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci conducted by Chris Wallace. Fauci whined that it was “painful” attempting to spread truthful COVID information while Trump was still the sitting president, The Hill reported. The co-hosts went on to claim that Fauci was made into a “scapegoat” and then started savaging Trump.
While the ladies on “The View” engaged in their favorite pastime of bashing Trump, one of the real villains in the COVID tragedy is coming back from the dead unlike victims of the pandemic. Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is exploring running for office once again and unbelievably, he stands a fair chance of getting elected, according to reports.
Cuomo resigned in disgrace in August after facing the prospect of being hit with a number of scandals involving sexual harassment, undercounting of COVID nursing home deaths, and other issues.
If only the NY AG prosecuted Andrew Cuomo for his role in the deaths of 15,000 senior citizens.

A spokesperson for the former governor said that Cuomo is “continuing to weigh all his options” when it comes to running for governor. Thursday is the deadline to submit 15,000 signatures in order to appear on the ballot by June.
If Cuomo decides to run as an independent, he has till May 31st to round up more than double the signatures he would need by Thursday. He has previously signaled that he may prefer to run as an independent which is upsetting communist and socialist groups in the state.
“Honestly, this just looks like Jay Jacobs continuing the work of Andrew Cuomo and then trying to attack the Working Families Party, despite the fact that we were instrumental in helping to flip the state Senate blue,” Working Families Party Deputy Director Sharon Cromwell said, according to Fox 5. “Creating another party line is short-sighted and it’s actually just going to alienate the multiracial, young, progressive base of voters that are part of the Working Families Party.”
