To mark International Transgender Day of Visibility, ABC News invited the mother of four sons to talk about the “surprise” when “at the earliest moment that she had words and language” one of her boys told her he was a girl.
Jen Grosshandler is the mother of Chazzie, her son who now identifies as her daughter. She also happens to be an activist and the Executive Director/Co-founder of The GenderCool Project, which identifies as an “inspiring disrupter” working with corporations like Nike, NBC Universal, General Mills and a host of others to promote positive stories of transgenderism.
In her appearance on ABC News, Grosshandler was asked by Diane Macedo to talk about her experience. “You and your husband were known as the ‘parents of four boys,'” she said while gesturing air quotes, “in your community before Chazzie transitioned. So what was that transition like for you as a parent and what is your advice to other parents who are on a similar journey?”
“So when Chazzie, our daughter,” Grosshandler explained as a montage of pictures played alongside her, “when she really started to communicate to us, and that was at the earliest moment that she had words and language, to communicate to us who she truly was, we were a little surprised because we didn’t expect it.”
While the mother might have been surprised to hear this from her child, reactions on the internet suggest she likely had more of a hand in this than she let on.
Mom wanted to buy dresses and bows after all those boys. It’s that simple.

Yeah, it totally wasn’t indoctrinated into the child by the crazy mother or anything

“And then, as we just literally raised her, supported her, just like all parents do raising, you know, we’re teaching her the right values,” she continued without addressing any of the serious concerns posed to prepubescent children who undergo transition, “we’re teaching her to give back. You know one of her favorite things in the world to do is to volunteer and be in service to others.”
This seems like child abuse to me.

“You know, that surprise evolves into something just really cool and important. And that is the realization that she’s our daughter,” Grosshandler expressed.

Poor kid never had a chance.

“And so what I would say to all of those parents and all the folks by the way, millions of folks still in our country, who say they’ve never met a transgender or non-binary young person I would say this. I would say, ‘these children are here, and they are wonderful, and all it takes is love.'”
My daughter meowed like a little kitten. It was cute as hell. But I didn’t feed her Fancy Feast, give her catnip, and make her use a litter box. What the hell is wrong with people? This is child abuse.

Its always upper middle class or rich white women. They are hurting their children.

If she wanted a daughter, she should have adopted a daughter. This is abuse.

She is so proud that she destroyed that kid.

This viewpoint by Grosshandler that was fully endorsed by ABC News is also the viewpoint of President Biden’s administration. They too marked the day of visibility with the Department of Health and Human Services, the same department that has Rachel Levine, formerly Richard Levine, as its assistant secretary, by publishing documents in support of surgery and puberty blockers for kids.
“Gender-Affirming Care and Young People” uses terms like, “assigned at birth” and “top” or “bottom” surgery to describe the non-reversible genital mutilation of children who have not reached the age of consent.
While the National Child Traumatic Stress Network claims, “There is no scientifically sound research showing negative impacts from providing gender-affirming care,” studies have indicated an increased risk of suicided death at every stage of transitioning, and that this risk is higher than in the general population.
As there are no scientifically sound studies to prove the opposite, it stands to reason that further research should be done before the government signs off on potentially mutilating children and destroying lives.
