Vaxxed and boosted Psaki tests positive, again: ‘We are not turning the page on COVID’

The news that White House press secretary Jen Psaki will be skipping President Joe Biden’s big trip to Europe because she has once again come down with COVID served as a reminder that despite his vow to defeat the pandemic, the “leader” of the free world has come up severely lacking on the key campaign promise that likely influenced millions to vote for him.

With Psaki testing positive on the day after she had two “socially distanced meetings” with her boss, the public got a reminder that the coronavirus is still around despite being conveniently shoved out of the headlines by the Ukraine-Russia crisis, and one reporter who pointed out that inconvenient fact rattled the cage of Biden’s chief of staff Ron Klain who insisted, despite the lack of attention in recent weeks, that COVID was still a priority of the administration.

Psaki informed the public that she would be missing out on the journey across the pond after her positive PCR test on Tuesday, citing CDC guidance for her reason for staying home.

“Today, in preparation for travel to Europe, I took a PCR test this morning. That test came back positive, which means I will be adhering to CDC guidance and no longer be traveling on the President’s trip to Europe,” Psaki tweeted.

She also said that despite her two meetings with Biden, he had tested negative, sparing him the indignity of having to meet with NATO leaders remotely after a week of hype over what is being called an “extraordinary session” with Vladimir Putin’s forces marching across Ukraine.

“I had two socially-distanced meetings with the President yesterday, and he is not considered a close contact as defined by CDC guidance. I am sharing the news of my positive test today out of an abundance of transparency. The President tested negative today via PCR test,” wrote Psaki.

Following the bad news, Klain was triggered over a tweet by Politico’s White House Bureau Chief Jonathan Lemire who wrote, “As much as the Biden administration wants to turn the page on COVID, this is the third time the virus has touched the West Wing in just over a week.”

“And as cases surge in Europe, they are beginning to rise in the U.S. too – with growing fears of a new wave in a matter of weeks,” tweeted Lemire.

Lemire’s assertion that the regime “wants to turn the page on COVID” brought a rebuttal from the perturbed Klain who insisted that wasn’t the case.

“We are not ‘turning the page’ on COVID. We are keeping businesses and schools open — and reducing hospital & ICU cases — by making vaccines, boosters, treatments and tests widely available. And we will continue to do so as long as Congress funds this work,” wrote the longtime Democratic Party political apparatchik.

While Biden’s downward spiral in the polls has been somewhat slowed now that the possibility of war has served as a distraction from his failures with COVID – including the free test kit fiasco as well as the Supreme Court’s smackdown of his employer vaccine mandate – it remains as a major vulnerability in an election year and for Democrats who could face voter backlash over their lockdowns. Its temporary disappearance from the news has been a huge boon.

But that was before the double-vaxxed and boosted Psaki tested positive and on the eve of the European trip to boot.

Twitter reacted to Psaki’s second bout with COVID.

Interestingly, twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate and former State Department Big Kahuna Hillary Clinton also announced that she had tested positive on Tuesday which she announced on Twitter while pimping the vaccines that didn’t prevent her from getting COVID.

Psaki won’t be sidelined for too long, also announcing that, thanks to the miracles of the vaccine Biden is determined to jab into the arms of everyone in America, that she is only experiencing mild symptoms and should be back behind the podium in less than a week.

She will be replaced by Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre who will make the European trip with Biden.
