NBC News is being accused of having digitally altered a photo of controversial transgender athlete Lia Thomas to make Thomas look less manly.
During a “Today” segment last week, the network displayed at least one blatantly digitally altered photo, allegedly to give Thomas what critics say is a “feminine glow.”
Below is the “Today” segment:

This obvious contrast has led to accusations that NBC News is trying to manipulate its viewers amid the controversy surrounding Thomas.

Thomas, a biological male, has been competing against biological females in college swimming. A growing chorus of critics say this is wrong and unfair.
As evidence, they point to all the videos of Thomas destroying opponents, i.e., Thomas performing so well that opponents don’t even stand a chance.
Critics further note that when performing against biological males in the past, Thomas almost always came out a loser, not a winner:

The Democrat Party is mostly aligned with the transgender movement. So is the media, which often functions as just an arm of the party.
And so despite growing complaints about Thomas competing against biological females, the media keep writing “woe is me” pieces about how Thomas is the real victim.
These pieces drop on an almost daily basis. The report by “Today” appears to be another example of this. While the report does briefly mention some of the criticism against Thomas, it quickly turns around and brings in someone to essentially accuse critics of spouting “”hatred and vitriol.”
Critics did not appreciate this attack on them and whitewashing of what they believe is Thomas’ corruption of female sports. In response, they fired back by accusing NBC News, “Today” and its hosts of not caring about women:

It’s difficult to find any mainstream outlet willing to offer an honest assessment of critics’ takes. They do exist, mind you, but are quite rare. Fox News, however, is one of these rare outlets.
“A group of feminists protesting outside the women’s NCAA swimming championships [said] they have ‘walked away’ from the Democratic Party and believe many others have as well,” Fox News reported Saturday.
“I was historically liberal. I would say I’m politically homeless now because I don’t think the Democrats care about women and girls,” one feminist told Fox News.
Don’t expect to see her words ever be repeated by the demonstrably left-wing establishment press …
