Tuesday night’s “Wheel of Fortune” episode was just unbearable to watch for many as three contestants repeatedly failed to solve an incredibly simple phrase, “Another feather in your cap,” taking a whopping eight turns and 10 attempts to get the answer right in what is possibly the show’s dumbest moment ever.
Viewers were incredibly frustrated and vented on Twitter over the mind-boggling cluelessness of the contestants.
Laura Machado, one of the offending players, had three guesses to solve the phrase as host Pat Sajak and letter-turner Vanna White fruitlessly anticipated a correct answer. The contestant nonsensically answered, “Another feather in your hat,” “Another feather in your lap” and “Another feather in your map.”
To the “lap” response, Sajak snarked, “No, though the feather is moving around.”
Christopher Coleman, another contestant, failed to guess the correct letters and landed on “Bankrupt,” wiping him out during his turn.
A third contestant, Thomas Lipscomb, also went “Bankrupt” and scored a “Lose a Turn” when it was his turn. But on his third try, he guessed “C” and correctly solved the phrase to the relief of everyone watching.
“There you go,” Sajak, 75, said probably in wonder at the low baseline IQ of the contestants.
Many believed after the disastrous showing that no one should have won the contest.

Twitter users raged over the episode on social media.
“Hey if you feel like screaming at the TV in agony and want to throw something at your screen round 2 of tonight’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is *perfect* for you,” one viewer carped.

“Frozen” actor Josh Gad nailed the sentiments of millions of viewers by tweeting, “God help us all.”
“Tonight’s Wheel of Fortune. I can’t. That round was brutal,” another viewer stated.

“The dumbest two minutes in Wheel of Fortune history,” another quipped.
“A woman on Wheel of Fortune got this puzzle wrong three times. I’m yelling at the television like I’m watching a football game,” someone else remarked.

“The woman on Wheel of Fortune got not one but TWO chances to solve this. First time, she said ‘…in your LAP.’ Second time, she said ‘MAP.’ I am in utter disbelief. #WheelOfFortune,” another person commented.
Host of NBA Baseline, Warren Shaw, summed it up nicely, “This might have been the worst two minute stretch in Wheel of Fortune history.”
Another person on Twitter noted, “This was by far the most painful two minutes of Wheel of Fortune I’ve ever seen. I was both screaming at the tv and laughing hysterically!”
Others chimed in as well – they just couldn’t resist the mockery:
One a side note…
Did anyone else find themselves yelling at their TV in frustration during last night's airing of Wheel of Fortune?

Watched that Wheel of Fortune clip and I’m not convinced that it wasn’t the first seal of the apocalypse being ripped open.

As a former contestant on Wheel of Fortune I feel for the dude who just wanted to answer the f'n puzzle and kept spinning Bankrupt & Lose a Turn.

I'd like to solve… ANOTHER FEATHER IN EVERYTHING BUT YOUR CAP.
Thank you, Wheel, for not editing out 6 of these 8 lost turns in a row like you normally would.#WheelofFortune pic.twitter.com/7MByDsn32p
