Tucker Carlson savages ‘compliant, braindead’ Joy Reid: ‘That woman, who is a moron, went to Harvard’

Tucker Carlson did not mince words over Joy Reid’s analysis of Russia when he stated that “moron, went to Harvard.”

Carlson made a guest appearance on “The Ingraham Angle” Tuesday night to discuss what host Laura Ingraham referred to as the “slow roll” of military support for Ukraine from the U.S. and allies. The conversation touched on the question of the benefit of American intervention in eastern Europe and how criticizing Biden’s actions in the region is being treated as “unpatriotic” or “treasonous.”

Carlson pointed to some of the defenses of U.S. involvement that claimed it was somehow a “moral obligation” to defend democracies abroad before pointing out that Ukraine actually has an authoritarian leadership that has arrested opposition. Ingraham then pointed to the hypocrisy of these critics’ stances.

“The same individuals who in the 1980s – when I was in college – were making excuses for the Soviet Union,” Ingraham said reminding Carlson of “no nukes” concerts and opposition to the Strategic Defense Initiative, “all of those people are now like, ‘Well, this much weaker Russia is our biggest problem facing the United States.'”

“Meanwhile, you have people on television like Joy Reid who thinks that anyone who isn’t beating the war drums is basically a Kremlin apologist,” Ingraham said before queueing up a clip from MSNBC’s “The Reid Out.”

“Trump’s ties to Russia,” Reid began, “the help his campaign accepted from them, and his adoration of Vladimir Putin are all too real. And worse, Trump’s Putin love has seemed to infect many in his party – so much so that the Republican Party, once a stalwart opponent of Soviet aggression during the Cold War, are now essentially Kremlin apologists.”

Carlson took a pause before stating “you have to pull back a little bit” and, instead of starting on the comment, took a moment to critique Reid herself.

“That woman, who is a moron,” Carlson stated unequivocally, “went to Harvard. I went to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. So, who’s got the privilege exactly? This is someone who’s not capable of thinking clearly, or expressing herself clearly, or writing a coherent sentence.”

“And she got into Harvard!” Carlson reemphasized. “So, it does tell you that our system is producing, is elevating, and producing like, the most mediocre people imaginable. And that’s the core problem. And they run every American institution – these people who’ve been brought up through a system that is designed to create compliant, braindead, dumb leaders. And it’s doing that very effectively, obviously.”

At this time, Reid has not responded to Carlson’s critique of her. However, this isn’t the first time where the two have participated in a verbal sparring match across networks. Several times in the past Reid has publicly attempted to race bait Carlson, resulting in outbursts from Reid that fail to prove any point other than the one Carlson had already succinctly made.
