Members of the leftist media have been working overtime in an effort to minimize and discredit the shocking new revelations from special counsel John Durham’s probe into the origins of the Russia collusion hoax.
Last week’s court filings by the intrepid “bulldog” federal investigator have sent shockwaves through the political establishment as they appeared to confirm former President Trump’s claims that he had been illegally spied on by forces working for powerful Democrats seeking to sabotage his historic presidency.
One of those seeking to douse the outrage with spin was Philip Bump of The Washington Post, a reporter who wears his partisanship on his sleeve as a member of the stable of Beltway scribes who have waged a propaganda war against Trump and who specialize in running interference for the Democratic Party.
Bump took to Twitter to whine about Fox News’ coverage of the latest development in what, in normal times, would have been a massive scandal given the grave implications of powerful elite seeking to undermine democracy by taking down a legitimately elected president.
According to Bump who tweeted out a link to his own column defending his paper’s coverage of Hillary Clinton’s missing emails while pushing the narrative that Trump mishandled classified information which would be followed by cherry-picked reactions, “The reaction to this thread, which combines an assessment of why perceptions of ‘spying’ differ with a riff on Fox’s inaccurate reporting, has been interesting.”
“It’s more important that people are misrepresenting what happened than how we describe it,” he wrote.

“The point (as the article hopefully makes clear) wasn’t ‘whomst amongst us can say what ‘spying’ is.’ It’s that, in this case, the spying was assumed before the evidence, leading to Fox’s treatment of the whole thing,” Bump tweeted. “Also that there was no ‘hacking,’ come on now”

He also smeared Liz Harrington, Trump’s spokesperson as dishonest along with another missive to portray the Durham filing as bunk: “Another interesting aspect of this is that people think Durham released a clear-cut report instead of an insinuation-filled filing with any number of holes. It’s just ‘here is a Real Government Document!!!'”

Twitter users reacted in a predictably scorching manner, burning Bump to a cinder with their blistering remarks.
Are you a lawyer?

Do you really think a pro like Durham would make claims in a file he didn’t feel he could prove beyond a reasonable doubt? And why would a WaPo reporter be so sweaty about this? 🤔

Is it not a court filing submitted by a prosecutor? Might have a little more legitimacy than the rambling conjectures of a regime-controlled rag who’s fixation on Trump, at this point, borders on some kind of lurid, erotic obsession.

How could he be so obtuse? The evidence for spying on the Trump campaign was multi-faceted, and done by organizations ranging from the FBI to the Clinton campaign, and here he thinks he scores points against those who knew this before him.https://t.co/KkT97WaPNC

Are you really this stupid?! Durham must be right over his target for the morons in media to try to downplay what is coming out the way they are. 🤡 show!

Special prosecutor files legal document, leftist reporter does distraction dance to keep from reporting what’s in it.

Confirmation bias to the point of self lobotomy.

Philip is scared where Durham may go. Presume that Durham did not lightly file what he considers is the case he will prove. https://t.co/ay1fFNDqp7

If the reaction from Bump and his fellow mainstream media lickspittles is any indication, there is great fear of Durham and what’s coming when the other shoe drops.
