In an alleged road-rage incident, dramatic and chilling video depicts a Honda Accord losing control and flipping over on the two-lane Palisades Parkway in New Jersey in some aggressive driving gone very wrong.

As summarized by YouTube user Racerwong.Shooterwong, who observed the incident while traveling on the same road and posted the brief dashcam footage online, “Accord and Raptor decided to road rage each other. Accord lost.”

“Originally I was hoping to catch them doing something stupid approaching a speed trap/cop ahead displayed on Waze. This was unexpected,” the description added.

In wording under a slightly shorter version of the footage, the YouTube channel asserted that “This Accord nearly sideswipes me, then decides to play chicken with the Raptor almost hitting him. I guess that pisses the Raptor off and that’s when video starts. Backed off some but felt at least some road rage worthy video was coming. Maybe expecting a sideswipe but didn’t expect him to smash into a mountain!”

Racerwong.Shooterwong also noted that cops told him the driver was okay, but without any detail.

The late-January footage appears to show the Honda driver trying to pass a Ford F-150 Raptor, with both vehicles tapping their brakes during the encounter as they presumably jockeyed for position.

It then looks like the bluish Honda also tail-gated a vehicle in the right lane before trying to pass the cars on the road from the shoulder, including the truck which it appears to bump, in what seems to amount to a squeeze play.

“The car then was seen bumping into the two vehicles, spinning slightly, then swinging off the road where it hit a rail and the cliffside. The car’s momentum launched it airborne, where it flipped and landed on its back, the video showed,” Fox News explained. “The Raptor truck continued driving along the highway.”

Watch the video and draw your own conclusions:

The Carscoops website described the New Jersey incident as a “fine an example as any of why losing your cool on the road is a bad idea….That’s an example of how quickly things can go extremely wrong at highway speeds. It’s also an example of why getting in people’s way, even if they’re being an ass on the road, isn’t a good idea.”

So far, there is no information as to any charges arising from the fray.

Ina wholly separate incident reported by BPR on Tuesday, dashcam footage from inside a Florida man’s vehicle shows him opening fire at another driver while on I-95 in Miami-Dade County.

The Florida resident’s lawyer claims the shooting, which occurred on June 21, 2021, was justified, as his client heard something hit his car with a loud bang. Believing he was being shot at, the motorist pulled out his own firearm and returned fire at the vehicle. He pulled over and dialed 911.

At the time, police chalked it up to two drivers exchanging gunfire in a road rage incident, but the other driver involved maintains that he did not shoot, and that he merely threw a water bottle. The driver in the video is facing two second-degree felonies.
