Virginia Democrats still aren’t over their brutal losses in November’s election which were largely spurred by voter backlash against critical race theory as well as a Loudoun County school board’s coverup of a sexual assault by a transgender student and chose to further embarrass themselves with childish behavior directed at their new governor.
On Monday, newly sworn-in Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin delivered an address to the Joint Assembly where he called for Republicans and Democrats to work together on issues in the best interest of the citizens of the Commonwealth who have suffered immensely under Democrat reign, leaving his administration with a colossal mess to clean up.
“I’m asking each of us in this body, Republican and Democrat alike, to come together,” he said, “to rise above the Richmond of divisive, special interest politics, the small and the parochial, to usher in a sweeping vision of change and to put this commonwealth on a pathway to prosperity.”
However, the new governor had to quickly realize that there will be no cooperation or unity from embittered Dems who are still smarting after voters had their say and are clearly united in their determination to resist all efforts to roll back their ideological crusade.
The lawmakers appeared particularly miffed that Youngkin would dare to deliver on his campaign promises to be a champion of parental rights and when he vowed to protect them, the caucus sat on their hands, petulantly refusing to join Republicans in their applause.

“My message to parents is this.” he said, “you have a fundamental right, enshrined by law by this general assembly, to make decisions with regard to your child’s upbringing. education and care, and we will protect and reassert that right.”
While acting in the finest tradition of sore losers like Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams likely thrilled the zealots of the party’s “woke” base, others were not impressed and took to Twitter to sound off.
Virginia Democrats melting down over the GOP takeover in Richmond is something to behold. They seem not to realize that Youngkin, Sears, & Miyares are here for 4 years, not 4 days 😂😂😂

So far the Virginia Democrats' response to losing a state they won by 10 points in 2020 is to double down on everything they were advocating for before the election?

ah, yes, i see virginia democrats are learning the exact wrong lessons from their electoral losses in november and inauguration of youngkin, sears, and miyares.

The implication is that the Dems believe the children belong to the state.

This is why they may lose all of their seats in every State.

Virginia Democrats were clobbered across the board in an election that was seen as a bellwether for the 2022 midterms as well as an early verdict on President Joe Biden in a state that he won comfortably in 2020. The results are the first indicator that Americans are rejecting the party’s far-left ideas, especially when it comes to activist teachers being allowed to poison the minds of kids who are shamed for their race as well as force-fed a bastardized version of the nation’s history.
All of the dirty tricks and moronic race hoaxes such as one of faux “white supremacists” backed by the disgraced Lincoln Project that spectacularly backfired couldn’t offset voter discontent to save former Democratic governor and longtime Clinton ally Terry McAuliffe who, like Biden, largely relied on race-baiting only to be walloped by Youngkin after voters refused to be distracted by such nonsense.
McAuliffe's closing message: Va has too many white teachers
“50% of the students at Va. schools K-12, 50% are students of color & yet 80 percent of teachers are white. We all know what we have to do in a school to make everybody feel comfortable in school. So, let’s diversify" pic.twitter.com/TJC2beResW

Matters are only going to get worse for Virginia Dems now that there’s a new sheriff in town and he means business.
