Political theater is the order of the day within the Biden regime, and Vice President Kamala Harris seems even incapable of pulling that off.

Fox News Contributor Lara Trump appeared on the network’s “Fox and Friends First” with host Todd Piro on Friday, and laid into the vice president for the hyperbolic speech she gave on the Jan. 6 commemoration.

Piro began the segment by saying he believes that the VP’s speech did nothing to make Americans forget about crippling inflation, high gas prices, school shutdowns, and deadly crime waves wracking the nation.

He later asked Trump, “Was Kamala’s invoking of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor the most offensive thing you saw yesterday?”

She replied, “I think there was a lot of offensive material yesterday.”

Harris said in her speech:

Certain dates echo throughout history, including dates that instantly remind all who have lived through them, where they were and what they were doing when our democracy came under assault. Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendars, but a place in our collective memory. December 7, 1941. September 11, 2001. And January 6, 20221.

On that day, I was not only vice president-elect, I was also a United States senator. And I was here at the Capitol that morning, at a classified hearing with fellow members of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Hours later, the gates of the Capitol were breached. What they were assaulting were the institutions, the values, the ideals that generations of Americans have marched, picketed and shed blood to establish and defend.

On January 6th, we all saw what our nation would look like if the forces who seek to dismantle our democracy are successful. The lawlessness, the violence the chaos.

Trump explained that everyone knew the one-year anniversary of the Capitol riot would be an over-the-top production, complete with the laughable inclusion of cast members from “Hamilton” in what was billed as a super-serious affair.

Not surprising, considering these are the same “adults are back in charge” people who brought us this:

“They are missing the mark as always,” Trump said. “They’re putting themselves first and not even thinking about the American people.”

Trump added that what the Democrats and their allies in the media have done to sensationalize the events of Jan. 6, 2021, might carry a lot more weight if any one of them would condemn the summer of riots, arson, and murder in 2020 that preceded the Capitol riot. But that one riot is the only one they care to acknowledge.

To that point, Piro added that the legally incorrect usage of “insurrection” was s staple of every legacy media newscast and article for a year. As such, we were treated to yet another divisive speech by the president, who is better at yelling at the American people than he is at uniting them.

Piro concluded, “As Ron DeSantis said, this was their Super Bowl. I’d like to add this was probably their Hail Mary.”

“We’ll see if it lands,” he said.
