BuzzFeed calls to ‘Deplatform White Parents’, blames press for legitimizing criticism of CRT

BuzzFeed has published a blatantly racist article titled “Deplatform White Parents,” and for some inexplicable reason, social media networks are allowing it to be spread freely despite their supposed rules on so-called “hate speech.”

Written by Alessa Dominguez, a left-wing zealot with a PhD and “gender pronouns,” the piece calls for “deplatforming” anyone — but particularly white parents and author J.K. Rowling — who oppose the left’s radical agenda on race and gender.

But what she means by deplatforming isn’t entirely clear. In the piece, she focuses mainly on chastising the already biased establishment press for reporting on anything that defies the left’s agenda.

More specifically, she complains about them reporting on parents opposed to the teaching of racial essentialism in schools and parents opposed to “gender fluid” high school boys being allowed to freely enter the girls’ restroom.

“Whatever the content of the reporting or articles, in platforming these issues through the ‘concerns’ of cis and white people, mainstream media helped distort what constitutes legitimate perspectives for coverage, and in doing so sidelined the actual difficulties experienced by marginalized communities, including Black and trans youth,” the piece reads.

“Current thinking about misinformation is focused on anti-science or partisan campaigns that exist in the social media ether. But there are other important questions, like the way the media feeds into misinformation by platforming sources that reframe debate outside the terms of the communities these “debates” actually affect,” it continues.

Notice how she labels all thoughts that fit into her worldview as “legitimate perspectives.” In other words, all dissenting thoughts are illegitimate, particularly if they come from “cis and white people.”

Besides being blatantly racist, the piece is also riddled with blatant lies — or what one might call “misinformation” or “disinformation.”

These lies include the claim that biological men who identify as women aren’t being incarcerated with biological women, and that there is an epidemic of “transgender women” being brutalized:

If anything, there may be an emerging trend of “transgender women” sexually harassing and/or raping biological women and girls, though Dominguez predictably tries to denounce this fact as “misinformation.”

In fact, it was Rowling’s decision earlier this month to tweet an article from The Times about Scottish police recording rapes by “transgender women” as being committed by women that initially triggered the BuzzFeed writer.

“J.K. Rowling tweeted the article, further elevating the narrative; she became a trending topic on Twitter, promoting a link between transness and sexual violence. US media covered her tweet as a controversy that implied there might be a real threat posed by trans self-determination,” the piece reads.

“It might be too obvious to state, but there isn’t. In fact, there is actually an ongoing epidemic of violence against trans women, and no such pattern of trans women committing violence against cis women or anyone else,” it continues.

The piece is riddled with additional lies or “misinformation” about the teaching of critical race theory, i.e., racial essentialism, which Dominguez claims amounts to nothing more than the teaching of history.

Perhaps she should tell that to Gabrielle Clark, a black mother of a biracial schoolboy who was demonized for his “whiteness” and labeled an “oppressor” thanks to CRT.

Yet, despite the BuzzFeed piece’s “misinformation” and racism, it’s being allowed on social media platforms like Twitter. Granted, this is allowing its critics to tear it apart, including CRT expert Christopher Rufo:

But it does highlight how social media companies’ war against “hate speech” is, from all appearances, nothing more than a war against conservative thought. Because in the face of actual hate speech from the left, including the piece from BuzzFeed, Facebook and Twitter never seem to have anything to say …
