Former George W. Bush-era White House press secretary Ari Fleischer doesn’t believe Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s claim that the social media network’s recent bout of censorship was rooted in his desire to put a halt to speech that promotes violence.
Speaking on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” this Friday, he pointed to just one clear-cut example — though there are many more — to disprove Dorsey’s claim.
“I literally went on this device, a phone, and I put in the hashtag on Twitter #KillTrump, and lots of stuff came up. So how in the world can Twitter, with a straight face, say that their policy is to stop speech that promotes violence, while they allow #KillTrump to be on their site?” Fleischer asked..
“The hypocrisy of Twitter is profound. The damage they’re doing to a republic in which there should be freedom, there should be speech and — as much as they are a private group with a right to do this — when you exercise your right in wrongful ways you divide America. Twitter is standing now for the division of America,” Fleischer said.

He had a point, no?
Writing for the New York Post, David Marcus noted that, “In all of the glorious English language there is no clearer, plainer, or shorter way to call for violence than the word kill followed by someone’s name.”
And yet #KillTrump continues to exist on Twitter, as demonstrated by the exceedingly old tweets below (*Language warning):
While I’m at it; America, someone put a bullet in the fucking piece of shit. Please? #killTrump

One of the tweets is from 2016, yet Twitter still hasn’t removed it.
Nor has Twitter removed the following horrific tweets that call for the assassination of the world’s number one superpower’s duly elected president:
#AssassinateTrump SOMEONE GO ON THE DARK WEB AND HIRE A HITMAN PLS (for legal purposes this is a joke 😗) https://t.co/LSTsxT0p4P

Twitter has also permitted violent threats against congressional Democrats and calls for genocide against Israel. Not to mention the organizing of events by left-wing extremists.
“Antifa, which engaged in riots all summer in Portland has several Twitter accounts that they use to organize,” Marcus noted.
Yes, they do:

Yet Dorsey had the audacity to post a screed Wednesday in which he defended Twitter’s censorship of President Donald Trump — a man whose death his critics are apparently allowed to call for — by essentially writing that he just wants to keep the world safe.
Fleischer wasn’t convinced.
“He’s a hypocrite. If that’s true, why could I just pull up #KillTrump? Why is there so much antisemitism on Twitter? Why’s there so many threats of violence on Twitter? But it’s only conservative activists that they target. So no, I’m sorry Jack, you’re not allowed to muse about the damage you’re doing when you continue to do the damage,” he said.
During an appearance on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” earlier in the week, Marcus expressed the same sentiment.
“Twitter claims that it has to censor conservative voices and ban President Trump because they’re in violation of their safety guidelines. So I did about a 10-minute search of Twitter’s own platform and found hashtags like #KillTrump, #AssassinateTrump. I found a user whose current name is ‘pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon,’ a reference to killing police. I found examples of Antifa using the platform to help organize their riots,” he said.
“So this only has to do with Twitter trying to silence its critics and protect its interests. Twitter doesn’t care about the safety of the American people. The full comprehensive list of things that Twitter cares about are its money and its power,” he said.

But why is all this happening? Fleischer believes it’s because, thanks to so-called “progressive” liberalism, mainstream “adult” society has devolved to the point that it’s now functioning like a college campus.
“America is being turned into a gigantic college campus. It started 20 years or so ago on campuses. The safe spaces, microaggressions. These words on college campuses meant that one side, typically a conservative side, was not allowed to speak,” he said.
“And the other side, dominated by liberals, dominated the space, declared a political orthodoxy about what words must be used and banned,” Fleischer added. “Twenty years later, the 20-year-olds in college are now 40-year-olds. They’re running corporations, they dominate social media. America is being turned into a college campus where if you don’t adhere to the proper political orthodoxies, you can now be banned and silenced.”
Jack Dorsey is reportedly 44.
