Liberal media reports Trump, O’Reilly event ‘fizzles’ in Florida, but here’s what they don’t show

Perhaps expectedly, a mainstream media report suggested that the first in a series of events hosted by former President Donald Trump and former top Fox News host Bill O’Reilly was not successful, though photographs and videos posted online appear to conflict with the report.

The Huffington Post, a far-left online news outlet that has been highly critical of Trump and the right in general, cited a Sun-Sentinel report which claimed that that the event “fizzled,” and that “nosebleed section” attendees were upgraded to seats closer to the floor and stage because there were so many empty seats.

The paper also said that “many tickets” to the event, which was held at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Fla., which is a suburb just east of Fort Lauderdale, went “unsold.”

The HuffPost cited one person who tweeted that the two were an hour late to appear on-stage and that there were a “lot of empty seats.”

But when BizPac Review clicked on the alleged tweet, the platform said it did not exist.

HuffPost also went on to handpick a 2020 Trump campaign event that did not live up to expectations — his Tulsa, Oklahoma, venue in June 2020, which was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and which was marred by mass ticket reservation fraud, according to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). In addition, there were threats by BLM supporters and others on the left to cause mass violence.

The vast majority of Trump’s 2020 campaign events were so popular that supporters would show up at venues days in advance just to get inside. Also, the campaign oftentimes set up TV screens outside of venues for overflow crowds. And then there were the pop-up boat-and-vehicle parades throughout the country — none of which took place for Democratic nominee Joe Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris. Masses of supporters even gathered outside Walter Reed Hospital for a few days when Trump was inside after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

In fact, most of the time, Biden ‘campaigned’ from the basement of his home in Delaware, while Harris’ venues were lightly attended. In fact, even former President Barack Obama couldn’t bring in crowds for Biden-Harris — in deep-blue Philly.

As for the Trump-O’Reilly kickoff, videos and photos posted online seem to discount the HuffPost and Sun-Sentinel reports that crowds were light and seats were aplenty.

O’Reilly went on to note that more than 10,000 people attended.

Another person noted on Twitter: “I am attending Trump/O’Reilly History Show in Sunrise, Florida. Place is mobbed. If I had time, I would drive to Orlando tomorrow.”

Even the Sun-Sentinel reported that “thousands eagerly” waited for the Trump-O’Reilly History Tour to kick off.

The pair have another show on Sunday in Orlando, followed by appearances on Dec. 18 in Houston and Dec. 19 in Dallas, according to their current schedule.
