The White House’s public relations blitz to shore up the sagging approval ratings of President Joe Biden included a late-night television appearance on Friday when the “leader” of the free world was trotted out on the “Tonight Show” where he chatted with host Jimmy Fallon.

During the segment in which Biden appeared remotely to trade jibes with the comic, the embattled POTUS joked about his growing unpopularity with the American people who have been battered by staggering inflation, unprecedented shortages during the holiday season and the resurgent threat of COVID which, despite his campaign trail vows, he has failed to get under control.

When Fallon asked the question about whether he paid attention to approval ratings, Biden quipped, “Well, not anymore, I’m joking,” he chuckled to the delight of the host and audience. “I was paying attention when they were in the mid-60s, but now that they’re in the mid-40s, I don’t pay attention.”

After complimenting Biden for his honesty, Fallon said, “You came in hot and then you got to medium and now you’re at a low, but you just gotta keep your head down right and keep doing the right thing.”

“Well look, here’s the deal,” Biden responded, “I think that it’s uh, we’ve been in less than a year, um, a lot has happened, look, people are afraid, people are worried and people are getting so much inaccurate information to them.”

He added, “I don’t mean about me, I mean about this…their situation, and and so they’re, you know, they’re, they’re being told that you know, Armageddon’s on the way.”

Biden’s remarks about “inaccurate information” comes after details that the regime was so concerned about his cratering ratings and the possibility that Democrats could be dragged down in next year’s midterm elections that “senior White House and admin officials have been holding briefings with major newsrooms over the past week as they try to reshape economic coverage,” a brazen effort to gaslight the American people that was reported by CNN’s Oliver Darcy.

The administration’s pressuring of the media is yet another example of how the White House relies on being able to control the narrative and some have likened it to “state run media,” hardly an exaggeration now that the “big guy” himself has made his first appearance on late night television.

Biden also shamelessly exploited the death of his longtime Senate colleague Bob Dole, the iconic Republican lawmaker and war hero who passed away at the age of 98 last weekend.

Prefacing his remarks about Dole with an attack on his predecessor, former President Donald J. Trump, Biden claimed that, “a lot of Republicans and Democrats used to get really on well together, for example, one of the reasons I’m a little bit late coming on is because… not coming on but to do the taping here, is because I did Bob Dole’s eulogy today.”

“He asked me on his deathbed whether I would do his eulogy,” he said, “we’re friends, we disagree but we’re friends,” Biden said.

“We used to have an awful lot of that relationship and it still exists except that the QAnon and the extreme elements of the Republican Party and what Donald Trump keeps sort of, seems to me feeding the, you know, with the ‘big lie’ uh, it makes it awful hard, there’s a… and I think most Republicans, uh… there’s an awful lot of Republicans in Congress I think would agree with that.”

Whether it is colluding with the media to gaslight the public, crassly exploiting the death of a beloved iconic American or blaming everything on Trump, there is no amount of propaganda that is going to convince millions of voters that the Biden administration is not the most intentionally dishonest in the nation’s history.
