Hard-working, serious VP Kamala honks bus horn, attempts to sing ‘Wheels on the Bus’

Vice President Kamala Harris will stop at nothing to prove that she’s just a normal, average human just like everyone else.

Of course, the more she tries, the more painfully obvious and awkward her attempts become.

During a trip to North Carolina to promote the recently-signed infrastructure law that will provide the state with nearly $1 billion in funds for public transportation, as well as $109 million for electric charging stations, Harris and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg put on what could only be called a dog and pony show for the public.

At one point in their act, the duo toured a public bus garage to see some electric busses. Harris gleefully hopped into one of the busses and honked the horn (after giving a warning, thankfully, as the group was in an enclosed space) and then giggled and said “the wheels on the bus go round and round.”

The moment was as inauthentic as cheese in a can, and Twitter users couldn’t help but note that themselves:
