A stunning victory in New Jersey has put Democrats on notice that regular Americans are ready to take the country back.

The seismic waves from the aftershock of Tuesday’s off-year elections will reverberate through the political establishment for some time to come and Democrats will be helpless as the backlash against their radicalism lays waste to their dreams of permanent one-party rule.

Not only did Democrats get clobbered in Virginia in a gubernatorial election that was seen as a referendum on President Joe Biden but also saw opposition gains against their reign of terror in deep-blue New Jersey where tyrannical Governor Phil Murphy is expected to survive by the skin of his teeth.

While Murphy may prevail, one top Garden State Democrat isn’t likely to be that lucky with state Senator Steve Sweeney, who is president of the New Jersey Senate, is on the verge of being toppled by Edward Durr, a blue-collar truck driver who spent around $5,000 on his campaign.

With all precincts reporting in State Senate District 3, Durr had a 2,000 vote lead on his powerful opponent who has been a vital cog in the New Jersey Democrat machine, the results have yet to be certified but if the number stands, it will a major humiliation for the Democratic party.

Durr discussed his takedown of Sweeney with Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy on Wednesday.

“I didn’t beat him. We beat him,” Durr said on “Fox News Primetime.”

“The state of New Jersey, the people of New Jersey beat him. They listened to what I had to say and I listened to what they had to say, and it’s a repudiation of Governor Murphy [who] went and locked us down and ignored the people’s voice and senator Sweeney chose to do nothing for those 18 months,” he said.

“You cannot tell people they can’t have a job. You can’t tell people they can’t go to church,” he said, “and that’s what was done. And there was nothing done by the legislature, so this was the people’s voice being made heard clear.”

Durr responded to a question on what he plans to do the first day on his new job.

“That’s the key factor. I don’t know what I don’t know, but I will learn what I need to know,” he said. “and I’m going to guarantee one thing. I will be the voice and people will hear me because if there is one thing people will learn about me, I got a big mouth and I don’t shut up when I want to be heard. I’m going to be heard.”

Durr wisely chose to tap into public anger over Murphy’s draconian COVID decrees which have been among the harshest in the nation and have hit ordinary working Americans hard, and his campaign video was clearly effective.

The 58-year-old father of three and grandfather of six who has lived in New Jersey for his entire life reveled in the stunning upset. “I joked with people and I said, ‘I’m going to shock the world, I’m going to beat this man,’” Durr said on Wednesday according to NJ.com.

“I was saying it, but really kind of joking. Because what chance did a person like me really stand against this man? He’s literally the second-most powerful person in the state of New Jersey,” he added

His success was largely a result of chaining Sweeney to Murphy’s iron-fisted COVID response and it was akin to a cinderblock that dragged the Democrat down.

“You have the debacle of unemployment. The masking of the kids in school. You have Senator Sweeney trying to take away peoples’ medical freedom rights,” Durr said. “I think the perfect storm was that he stepped into a pile of you-know-what and couldn’t get out of it because he didn’t know which way to turn. I just tapped into the right focus.” Durr told Politico.

Tuesday’s election results are a bad omen for Democrats who are drunk with power and have badly overreached, especially at the federal level where Biden’s authoritarianism despite his campaign trail promise of “unity” have decimated the economy, led to an unfettered flood of illegal immigrants into the U.S. and declared war on personal freedom, especially when it comes to medical decisions.

Biden’s approval ratings have taken a nosedive and the results from New Jersey and Virginia are signs of rough seas ahead for the Democrats and their anti-American extremist agenda as voters become increasingly concerned about the future of their families and that of the nation as a whole.
