U.S. Marine Corps veteran James Kilcer made quite a statement while receiving the Citizens Valor Award on Tuesday, and the best part is that he didn’t have to say a word.
Yuma County Sheriff Leon Wilmot presented Kilcer with the award after the veteran thwarted a convenience store robbery attempt on October 20, which he happily accepted while wearing a “Let’s go Brandon” shirt and “Make America Great Again” hat.
BRAVO. The Yuma County Sheriff's Office honored a former Marine who stepped into action to stop an armed robbery at a gas station. "The situation had to be dealt with, and there was really only one way to deal with it," said James Kilcer. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/qi2IvhUTbl

The award was presented for “extraordinary heroism and exceptional courage while voluntarily coming to the aid of another citizen during an incident involving criminal activity at extreme, life threatening, personal risk in an attempt to save or protect human life.” Kilcer was shopping at a convenience store early in the morning when a would-be robber and his cohorts walked in. Not about to die for a snack attack, the veteran leaped into action. He grabbed the barrel of the firearm and used his bag of purchases as a weapon of his own, smashing it into the alleged criminal’s face.
“I was actually going to take control of his head and the gun at the same time, and the bag just happened to be heavy and attached to me and it smashed him right in the face,” Kilcer noted during an interview with Fox News about the act of heroism. He credits his military training for helping him react during a situation that would leave most people paralyzed with fear.
It was during that same interview that Kilcer dropped a zinger on host Dana Perino, telling the audience to “remember, Epstein didn’t kill himself,” a call back to the suspicious death of convicted billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein who reportedly hung himself in his jail cell while awaiting trial in 2019.
Perhaps the veteran was paying attention to the Twitter comments and decided to out-do himself during the award ceremony:
Should have ended interview with Let’s Go Brandon.

It didn’t take long for Twitter to react to Kilcer’s ensemble, which features the playful and more family-friendly version of the “F*** Joe Biden” chants that have swept the nation, most often popping up at sports events. (** Language warning)

The “Let’s go Brandon” chant came to be after NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast either accidentally or intentionally misinterpreted the vulgar Biden chant as a rally of support for a NASCAR driver. It has since become a trend that has exploded beyond arena sports, with pranksters tricking store staff into announcing variations of the phrase over intercoms.
