FN’s Dagen McDowell slams ‘old coot’ Joe Biden over vaccines: ‘Hunter’s daddy telling the American people how to raise kids’

Fox News’ “The Five” co-host Dagen McDowell ripped into President Joe Biden during a Thursday show segment for blaming the spread of coronavirus on unvaccinated Americans, referring to the president as “Hunter’s daddy” and an “old coot.”

Co-host Dan Bongino introduced the segment noting that Biden’s approval ratings have been in a free-fall recently and that the decline accelerated after the disastrous and deadly evacuation from Afghanistan, before playing a video clip of White House press secretary Jen Psaki essentially blaming the fall on Americans’ frustration with those who haven’t gotten a COVID-19 vaccine.

“We think it is a reflection of people being sick and tired of COVID and some of that is a reflection of people who are vaccinated being frustrated that there’s still the percentage of the population who are not vaccinated. And that is impacting their daily lives,” Psaki said.

Bongino responded that the administration tends to blame all negative policy outcomes on the pandemic before swinging it over to McDowell.

“It is not the delta variant, actually. It’s Joe Biden standing in front of the American people and vilifying the unvaccinated and telling the vaccinated that ‘oh, you have ‘every right to be angry’ with the unvaccinated when – if you’re vaccinated, you’re okay,” she said.

“You don’t need to be angry at the unvaccinated. Oh, and it was Hunter’s daddy telling the American people how to raise their kids, at the same time,” McDowell added.

“You have an entire administration untethered to reality and when they’re caught in an untenable situation, their gut is to just lie, lied about Afghanistan over and over and over again,” the co-host continued.

“‘Al-Qaeda gone from Afghanistan… oh, Americans can get to the airport in Kabul if they want…our allies are with us.’ How much more do the American people have to tolerate?” she asked, adding: “When a 3-year-old gets caught with his hand in the Cool Whip in the refrigerator and he lies about it, that is cute. But not this old coot, this commander in chaos and all his minions lying over and over to the American people. Stop acting like we’re stupid.”

In an address last month from the White House in announcing his administration was imposing a mandate that businesses with more than 100 employees must require them to get vaccinated, Biden directly blamed the lingering pandemic on unvaccinated Americans, implying that those who have gotten the jab are fed-up with those who have not.

“Many of us are frustrated with the nearly 80 million Americans who are still not vaccinated, even though the vaccine is safe, effective, and free,” Biden said.

“While the vaccines provide strong protections for the vaccinated, we read about, we hear about, and we see the stories of hospitalized people, people on their death beds, among the unvaccinated over these past few weeks,” he continued.

“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. And it’s caused by the fact that despite America having an unprecedented and successful vaccination program, despite the fact that for almost five months free vaccines have been available in 80,000 different locations, we still have nearly 80 million Americans who have failed to get the shot,” the president went on to claim.
