Psaki says Biden’s unpopularity is not his fault, people are really mad at the unvaxxed

The same administration that refers to mothers as “pregnant people” and claims the vaccinated must be protected from the unvaccinated is now claiming that President Joe Biden’s ailing poll numbers are just a figment of imagination.

Questioned about the president’s low polling numbers Wednesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki attributed them to Americans being frustrated with the COVID pandemic versus them being frustrated with the person they’d been polled about.

“Well, we think it’s more a reflection of people being sick and tired of COVID,” she said.

However, polling averages compiled by RealClearPolitics show that Biden is under water on every issue but COVID: on the economy, on foreign policy, on immigration, and on the direction of the country.

As of the morning of Sept. 30th, his numbers were: -4.8 total approval, -4.6 economy, -15.6 foreign policy, -24.2 immigration, -28.1 direction of the country, but a surprising +7.3 on COVID.

Continuing her response, she also directed ire at the unvaccinated.

“And some of that is a reflection of people who are vaccinated being frustrated that there is still a percentage of the population who are not vaccinated. That’s impacting their daily lives,” she continued.

“There was an assumption several months ago before the rise of delta that we would be over and through it — back to normal — at this point in time, and we’re not. And that’s frustrating and that’s impacting people,” Psaki added.

America is not “back to normal” because of Democrat policies on the national, state and local level. A Politico report published this past summer found that Republican-led states were “leading the recovery from the Covid-19 economic shock.” Meanwhile, all Democrat-led states were faltering, and that was no coincidence.

The press secretary concluded her remarks by claiming “the buck stops with” the president, despite having just spent a minute saying the exact opposite.

Meanwhile on Fox News’ “Hannity” late that evening, host Sean Hannity offered a reality check by playing clips of the president of the United States being vociferously booed at the annual Congressional Baseball Game earlier that evening.

A taste of 2022!

Hannity called the boos “well-deserved.”

“[Biden’s] policies are disastrous. He’s now fast becoming the single most unpopular president to serve and in record time, and for good reason,” he said.

To prove his point, he addressed the president’s stunningly low -15.6 average approval rating on foreign policy.

“Forty-six days and counting, hundreds of our fellow Americans, thousands of our allies, Green Card holders, all of their families all abandoned by that guy that got booed that lives in the White House,” he said.

“They not only got abandoned, but they’re not lifting a finger to help them as they live now under the Taliban rule and terrorist rule. And by the way, they’re now allowing his own State Department to deny even private charters — people are paying good money for those charters — to bring our citizens home,” he added.

His claim about the State Department was accurate.

Look:

Of course, the crisis in Afghanistan tells just one part of the story.

Hannity noted that the president’s ailing poll numbers also reflect the “disaster at the border, inflation through the roof, violent crime on the rise everywhere, stagnant job numbers COVID infections, a 300 percent increase from last year, Joe begging OPEC to increase oil production as the price of oil and gas is soaring because Joe ended America’s energy independence something,” etc.

But to hear Psaki tell it, none of Hannity’s criticisms are valid.

This administration appears to believe that simply crossing their fingers and denying reality will somehow change reality to reflect whatever imaginary ideas they’ve concocted in their heads. It’s the same formula they’ve applied to virtually everything.

Last month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began referring to pregnant women as “pregnant people,” as if men can get pregnant.

After the president announced his widely panned, draconian business vaccine mandate earlier this month, he and Vice President Kamala Harris began claiming that the vaccinated must be “protected” from the unvaccinated.

Last week the president began claiming the $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” bill being pursued by congressional Democrats will cost $0.

And this week Psaki made the economically illiterate claim/argument that it would be “unfair and absurd” for businesses to raise the prices of their goods and services in response to the federal government spiking their taxes.

At every step of the way, there’s been a denial of reality — almost as if the entire administration (but especially the president) lives in a fantasy world.
