‘Sabrina’ actress omits key detail to blame unmasked kids for breakthrough Covid-19 diagnosis

Melissa Joan Hart posted a video of herself looking miserable in bed with a breakthrough case of COVID-19 and complained she believes she got it from her ‘unmasked’ kids but social media users have other ideas of where she may have contracted the virus.

“I am vaccinated and I got COVID and it’s bad,” the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” alum told her Instagram followers on Wednesday. “It’s weighing on my chest. It’s hard to breathe. One of my kids, I think, has it so far. I’m praying that the other ones are OK.”

She claims her family of five including her husband Mark Wilkerson and three kids have been careful with COVID precautions but still contracted the virus because “they’ve been a little lazy.”

“I think as a country we got a little lazy and I’m really mad that my kids didn’t have to wear masks at school,” she said. “I’m pretty sure that’s where this came from.”

Many people found it amusing that she tried to place the blame on there not being a mask mandate at her kid’s school even though she didn’t appear to be upset by her kids running around Disney World a week before becoming sick with the virus based on several photos she posted online of herself and her ‘unmasked’ kids.

Walt Disney World being located in Orlando, Fla., a state is in the midst of a record outbreak amid a surge of the delta variant of COVID-19.

Many online comments brought into question her logic regarding the origin of her illness.

“Maybe this is where the family contracted covid? Not your child’s school? And, why is wearing a mask in school essential,  but not at Disney?” user “leannevogel” wrote in response to one of several family photos she posted from the theme park only a week before the video rant was posted.

“So here you are at disney with thousands of other people and i see NO masks! don’t blame the damn school for catching covid cuz you as a parent can have your kids wear their masks…blame it on YOURSELF!” wrote sueb2004.

“Is that you at Disney with no mask whilst blaming no masks in school?” wrote another user bellamia_720, obviously poking fun at the Tennessee transplant for ignoring the fact that she was traipsing through a packed theme part only a week before her illness.

The video tirade continued with the 45-year-old praising her youngest son who told her he wore his mask at school every day “because he was used to it from last year” and went on to call him a “superhero” for protecting his teacher and classmates from the virus.

“I just really hope my husband and the other ones don’t get it because if someone has to be taken to the hospital, I can’t go with them,” she cried. “I’m just scared and sad, and disappointed in myself and some of our leaders. I just wish I’d done better, so I’m asking you guys to do better. Protect your families. Protect your kids.”

She must not be aware that studies have shown that the number of pediatric COVID-19 patient hospitalizations has been “grossly inflated.”

“It’s not over yet,” she lamented.

“I hoped it was, but it’s not, so stay vigilant and stay safe,” she said before blowing a kiss to her viewers.
