Graham talks of GOP wipeout in ’22, says Trump ‘heartbroken’ over Biden’s path, has ‘unfinished business’

A “mad as hell” Donald Trump is poised to lead the GOP to a resounding victory in the 2022 elections and is likely seeking a second, nonconsecutive term in office because he has “unfinished business,” especially since the nomination is his if he wants it, according to a U.S. senator.

“When you look at Trump’s four years compared to Biden’s six months, I like our chances to win the House and Senate in 2022 and to take back the White House in 2024,” the Republican lawmaker said. “Joe Biden’s administration is out of control, and every day that passes, we appreciate Trump policies more and more.”

That is the current assessment of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), after a two-day golf outing with the ex-president along with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

“I will be shocked if [Trump] doesn’t run for president in 2024,” Graham told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro on Saturday.

“I think he’s all in to make sure we take back the House and the Senate and stop this craziness,” he said of the former commander in chief who’s ready to hit the campaign trail for candidates he has or will be endorsing in the coming weeks and months.

Graham, a rival in the 2016 presidential primary, insisted that Trump metaphorically “owns the Republican Party” in the interview on Justice with Judge Jeanine.

“We have a lot of talented people in the Republican Party. But I can tell you this; if President Trump runs in 2024, he will be the nominee of his party. His policies are standing the test of time,” he said.

Biden’s far-left polices could result in Republicans wiping out the Democrats in the upcoming midterms, Graham opined. He described the Biden administration as being “in free-fall,” saying “it’s moments like this that remind us why President Trump was a good president’ and that Trump “thinks he can fix it” and get the country back on track.

Sen. Graham listed the multiple disasters that the Biden team has visited upon America and the world with an apparent obsession with reversing Trump’s America First policies.

“He’s heartbroken about what’s going on in our country and the world at large, he said of Trump, adding that the former president is “mad as hell” about what the future has in store under Biden.

Graham, who is sometimes MAGA and sometimes RINO, lamented — among other things — the failure to secure the border, massive government spending, “cradle-to-grave socialism,” asking the corrupt U.N. to investigate the U.S. for systemic racism, and lukewarm support for the Libertad movement in Cuba.

“The border is broken, rampant inflation, crime in the streets, radical Islam is on the rise,,” Graham explained. [President Trump] has a hell of a story to tell about what he did for this country. And more importantly what he can do. ”

In a rebuke to the RINOS and Never Trumpers, Graham added, “This is the party of Donald Trump. If you think other otherwise, you are in for a rude awakening.

“[Trump] believes he has unfinished business as president of the United States, and he believes he can put the country in a better position than Biden has it. And I agree with him,” Graham concluded.

Graham has been consistent in this regard; back in May, he warned his party that there is no way forward without Trump, who received nearly 75 million votes in the 2020 election and enjoys massive popularity with grassroots Republicans as well as many other voters who lean Republican.

In a lighter moment, the senator also praised Trump’s improved skills on the links.

Last month, Graham warned that Biden’s weakness on the international stage could result in a war between terrorism-sponsoring Iran and the state of Israel.
