Congressional Democrats and their allies are steaming mad with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy over his refusal to play into their dubious narratives, particularly the one about the Jan. 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Early Thursday morning, The Washington Post confirmed that McCarthy “has threatened to strip Republicans of committee assignments if they” join the Democrats’ widely panned 9/11-like Jan. 6th commission.

This announcement provoked backlash not only from Democrats but from their allies in every major American institution.

Leading the backlash was Russian collusion delusion hoaxer Adam Schiff, one of the many Democrats who’ve claimed that the Jan. 6th riot by unarmed Trump supporters was an insurrection that nearly destroyed democracy.

Look:

In the tweet, he referenced two additional ongoing events.

First, far-left members of the Democrat Party, which has for years tolerated blatant anti-Semitism and threats from its members, have been calling for Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s head again.

According to CNN, 40 House Democrats — including radicals like Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush, Ilhan Omar and Pramila Jayapal — sent a letter to McCarthy this week demanding he take “immediate action” against Greene.

They reportedly complained that Greene’s trash-talking — she’d called Ocasio-Cortez the “little communist from New York City” and jokingly said “lock her up” — and claims that Trump won the 2020 election “could lead to violence against members of Congress.”

Keep in mind these same far-left Democrats have never spoken out about Rep. Maxine Waters promoting the harassment and intimidation of Trump administration officials or Rep. Nydia Velázquez threatening an underage kid.

Second, the far-left has also set its sights on Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar for holding a fundraiser with Nick Fuentes, an alleged white nationalist and Holocaust denier. Fuentes for his part has denied both allegations.

Combined, all three events — McCarthy pleading with his colleagues to not play along with the Jan. 6th narrative, and McCarthy also refusing to take action regarding Greene and Gosar — had members of the left screeching in anger Thursday morning.

Just look at all the tweets below — and note that this is just a sample of the many, many, many more on Twitter:

There’s this belief on the institutional left that if Republicans don’t fall in line with every Democrat demand, no matter how irrational or full of bullschiff, then they’re attacking democracy. Yet according to the left, it’s perfectly fine to call for the elimination of the filibuster, the packing of the Supreme Court and even the redesign of the U.S. Senate.

Meanwhile late Thursday morning, Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney again bent the knee to the Democrats by accepting a position on the Jan. 6th committee from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She did so in stark violation of McCarthy’s plea for Republicans to stop playing into the Democrats’ false narratives.

As usual, her decision earned her widespread accolades from the left.

Look: (** Language warning)

Cheney is up for reelection in 2022. Thus far, the polls do not look good for her.
