Two men triggered quite the reaction when they unfurled a decidedly pro-Trump banner at Yankee Stadium late Thursday evening.

Unfurled during a doubleheader between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, the banner pithily read, “Trump Won Save America.”

What made the move brave was the fact that Yankee Stadium is located in New York City’s Bronx neighborhood, a community that is as far-left as they come, with almost 85 percent of voters having chosen President Joe Biden during the last election.

Indeed, when the men unfurled the banner, what could be heard weren’t cheers but rather visceral boos tinged with Democrat-styled loathing and hatred.

Watch:

One guy who identifies himself as “WestSideGK” on Twitter later claimed that he’d tried to “take it down” from the level beneath the men “but it wouldn’t rip.”

Look:

The stunt lasted only a few minutes regardless, as security personnel quickly rushed to escort the men out of the stadium — one of them reportedly in cuffs.

As they were being escorted out, the crowd erupted into cheers.

Watch

It’s not clear whether the man spotted with handcuffs on his hands was arrested.

Here’s a close-up of the men being removed:

This wasn’t the first time pro-Trump banners were unfurled at baseball games, and it likely won’t be the last, though it was the first time they were unfurled since former President Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election.

But prior to the election, pro-Trump banners were unfurled during at least two games — one in Baltimore, and another in Boston. Both are far-left cities.

Both banners were predictably not well received.

Despite all the anger directed at the latest banner, a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 53 percent of Republican voters view Trump as the “true president” and an even higher 61 percent believe the 2020 election was “stolen” from him.

In fairness to GOP voters, even rabidly left-wing figures like actor Russell Brand have complained about the way in which the 2020 election was handled.

During a stunning episode of his podcast this week, the actor accused the media of having “conspired to keep information away from you because it was not convenient to their agenda.” By information, he specifically meant legitimate reporting on the shady activities of Biden’s son Hunter.

“What reason is Hunter Biden on the board of an energy company in Ukraine? What reason is James Biden on the board, or receiving payments from an energy company, in China?” he said.

“For me, revelations that there are financial connections between energy companies in Ukraine, energy companies in China, and the Biden family are troubling. That should be public knowledge. And it’s even more troubling that Twitter, and Facebook and the media at large deliberately kept it out of the news because they didn’t want it to influence the election,” he added.

For someone so left-wing and notoriously anti-Trump to make such remarks is astounding. This is a man who’s spent years obsessively bashing Fox News and obsessively bashing then-President Trump.

After Trump took office in 2017, Brand said he was “pretty glad” that he no longer lived in the United States, as reported at the time by Radio X.

None of this is to say that Trump actually won the 2020 presidential election. But it is to note that the notion that the election had somehow been unfair — perhaps even “rigged” — isn’t limited to just the right. Even some among the left clearly believe as such.
