Gov. Cuomo gives friends and family priority to jump line in Corona testing and this is how CNN responds…

Embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo reportedly forced New York health officials to grant priority coronavirus tests to his own family members, including Chris Cuomo of CNN, during the height of the pandemic last spring, when tests were hard to come by.

Three sources reportedly with “direct knowledge of the matter” recounted this week to the Times Union — the same paper responsible for outing some of the governor’s alleged sexual abuse victims — how he and state Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker had forced the state’s health department to prioritize “the governor’s relatives as well as influential people with ties to the administration.”

“Members of Cuomo’s family including his brother, his mother and at least one of his sisters were also tested by top health department officials — some several times, the sources said,” the Times Union reported Wednesday.

“Others who were given priority testing include Rick Cotton, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and his wife, as well as Patrick J. Foye, head of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Members of the media, state legislators and their staff also were tested in similar fashion.”

In a statement to the Times Union, one of the unnamed sources bluntly noted that this was not how the testing process was supposed to function.

“If their job was to go test an old lady down in New Rochelle, that’s one thing — that’s actually good. This was not that,” the source reportedly said.

Not only did the governor’s friends and family benefit from being tested before many others, but they also reportedly benefited from having their tests processed first at the Wadsworth Center laboratory in Albany.

“[O]ne of the people familiar with the matter said that the people with close ties to the governor, including his relatives, would have their samples moved to the front of the line at Wadsworth and be given priority. They were referred to as ‘critical samples,'” according to the Times Union.

Following the Times Union’s bombshell report, The Washington Post published its own report confirming the paper’s findings but also adding to them with findings of its own.

Citing its own three sources, the Post revealed that the names of the “VIPs” and “specials” who were granted priority coronavirus tests were “obscured” — perhaps purposefully? — “through the use of numbers or letter initials or even aliases in some cases.”

The Post also reported that the test specimens of the governor’s friends and family were “rushed — at times driven by state police troopers — to the Wadsworth Center,” and that employees at the laboratory “were kept past their shifts until late into the night to process results of those close to Cuomo.”

The governor has denied all wrongdoing regarding testing, just as he’s denied all wrongdoing in the ongoing sexual abuse cases, and just as he’s denied all wrongdoing vis-a-vis his administration’s nursing home crisis.

In a statement to the media, his spokesperson reportedly portrayed the Times Union and Post’s reporting as “insincere efforts to rewrite the past.”

“In the early days of this pandemic, when there was a heavy emphasis on contact tracing, we were absolutely going above and beyond to get people testing — including in some instances going to people’s homes — and door to door in places like New Rochelle — to take samples from those believed to have been exposed to COVID in order to identify cases and prevent additional ones,” spokesperson Rich Azzopardi reportedly said.

“Among those we assisted were members of the general public, including legislators, reporters, state workers and their families who feared they had contracted the virus and had the capability to further spread it,” he added.

CNN likewise came to the defense of the governor’s brother, far-left commentator Chris Cuomo.

“We generally do not get involved in the medical decisions of our employees. However, it is not surprising that in the earliest days of a once-in-a-century global pandemic, when Chris was showing symptoms and was concerned about possible spread, he turned to anyone he could for advice and assistance, as any human being would,” CNN spokesperson Matt Dornic reportedly said.

The response was so weak and indefensible that even far-left zealot and notorious hate-monger Keith Olbermann was left flummoxed:

That’s saying something, no?

To the right, this latest scandal — one of many that have surfaced in recent months — undergirds the utter corruption not only in Democrat politics but also media coverage.

For over a year straight, the media — including the governor’s brother — lavished Cuomo with praise and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, with hate. To this day, in fact, DeSantis still faces unjustified smears and attacks.

Yet with all the facts now known, it’s clear that the narrative that was deployed relentlessly by the institutional left was all a farce — and all of the corruption and evil that DeSantis and other Republican governors were accused of perpetrating were actually perpetrated by Democrats.
