Former Trump adviser warns Biden’s gaffes becoming a ‘national security crisis’ after Air Force One stumble

Former senior Trump administration official Stephen Miller believes that President Joe Biden’s incessant gaffes and stumbles — some of them literal — pose a national security threat to the United States.

During a discussion on Fox News’ “Hannity” late Friday, hours after the president stumbled and fell while trying to climb a set of stairs, he explained that America’s adversaries, from Russia to China, are watching all this.

They’re seeing “the president of our country, who’s unable to get through even a softball interview without a cheat sheet, who falls down not once, not twice, but three times going up a flight of stairs,” Miller said.

But he cautioned that he wasn’t saying this to make fun of Biden or laugh at his expense. He was saying it because it really is a problem when you have the president of the United States slipping and falling three times while trying to board Air Force One.

“It’s sad to watch. I take no pleasure in it. … This isn’t to be funny. This is extremely serious,” he said.

He added that he knows for a fact that the stairs leading to Air Force One are by no means slippery.

“By the way, I’ll note I’ve walked up and down those stairs many times. They’re not slippery. The Air Force goes to great lengths to make sure those stairs are not slippery. There’s a very carefully placed carpet that’s a non-slip surface, and so to slip three times going up this flight of stairs — that’s a pretty serious problem just from a pure health standpoint,” he said.

Listen to his commentary below:

Biden’s stunning stumble came a day after China humiliated America on the national stage and Russian president Vladimir Putin mocked Biden by challenging him to a debate that it seems he knew would turn down.

“I felt Putin was pretty much mocking him this week. That’s how I interpreted it. And then we’re getting lectured by the Chinese on human rights,” Fox News host Sean Hannity said of those two events.

According to Miller, it’s like they’re “openly mocking” America.

“They’re openly mocking us. They’re openly mocking President Biden. It’s humiliating, and that humiliation is compounded by the fact that you have a commander in chief who’s not home, who’s not present, who’s not there,” he said.

“Then you have embarrassing episodes like what happened in Alaska, where China dares to lecture us on human rights? And [Secretary of State Antony] Blinken and [National Security Advisor Jake] Sullivan just sit there and take it?”

Here’s a reminder of how that humiliating episode went down:

“How does that happen? It happens when you have no leadership at the top, when the president isn’t home, and other countries see that weakness, and they are pouncing, and we’re all less safe as a result,” Miller added.

Meanwhile here in the states, Biden has yet to deliver a state of the union address, let alone a solo press conference.

“He hasn’t given a press conference — a solo one, anyway — for nine weeks into his presidency. That’s longer than any of his predecessors going back a 100 years,” Fox News contributor Joe Concha noted.

He added that it’s not like Biden is just some average 78-year-old.

“This isn’t a 78-year-old who’s working too long at the Food King and maybe you should retire. This is the leader of the free world,” he said.

Ostensibly …

Yet despite being the president, critics say Biden rarely acts like it. Just this week, he referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as “President Harris” for the umpteenth time.

Coupled with Biden’s other gaffes and physical stumbles, the “President Harris” mistake was enough to provoke another round of concerns about his health from conservative corners.

Despite spending years scrutinizing then-Donald Trump’s health, it seems the media remain fixated on forever jumping through hoops to protect Biden.

This double standard wasn’t lost on Concha.

“In June of 2020 … when President Trump simply walked down a wet ramp in dress shoes, no railings, wasn’t wearing Air Jordans or anything like that, he didn’t fall at all, he didn’t fall not once,” he said.

“And yet the CNN headline quote, ‘Why the Donald Trump West Point Ramp Story Actually Matters.’ That’s what they said in June of 2020. Tonight on CNN’s website, ‘White House Says Biden Is 100 Fine After He Tripped Boarding Air Force One.'”

This is true.

However, while the American media can certainly cover up for Biden’s frailty when reporting to its audience, the video evidence — which is available to everybody, including foreign world leaders — doesn’t lie.
