‘All the perks none of the restrictions’: Ruddy says post-president Trump will have the world in his hand

Instead of attempting a return trip to the White House in 2024, the former commander in chief could go global and become a figurative president of the world. That is the assessment of Newsmax CEO and longtime Donald Trump friend Christopher Ruddy in an appearance on his own network’s Greg Kelly Reports.

Citing former President Trump’s many foreign policy achievements, Ruddy told host Greg Kelly in the interview embedded below in two parts that “I see him staying very active, politically being a great political and media force. My view on Donald Trump is he was president of the United States, now he can be president of the world. He can really go all over the world…He could be a valuable resource to the United States as a peacemaker around the world.”

In addition to his nearly 75 million MAGA voters in Election 2020, Donald Trump — as a potential unofficial global ambassador, if you will — is very popular around the world among the increasing numbers of those who favor national sovereignty.

Upon leaving the White House, Trump told his supporters that “we will be back in some form.” As far as Trump 2024 is concerned, however, Ruddy asserted that while he hasn’t spoken to the president recently, DJT will find that being an ex-POTUS is a good gig, which will allow him to be even more unfiltered:

“I certainly would support him running again in 2024. I’m not sure he’s gonna be quick to pull the switch on that,” Ruddy said.

“You know, one of those things I think he’s gonna realize is when you’re post-president, you got a lot of the perks of being president. You have the access to the media stage, not only in the U.S., but around the whole world, and he’s gonna have no restrictions.

“I mean, every time he said boo, someone in Congress was opening an investigation against this guy.”

The Newsmax boss also predicted that President Joe Biden’s voters will soon experience buyer’s remorse when Biden and the Democrats tank the economy with their Big Government agenda such as job-destroying tax hikes.

Given his domestic and international accomplishments, Trump was “one of the most monumental single-term presidents in history” who left office with a hefty 51 percent approval rating according to Rasmussen, Ruddy insisted.

Kelly lamented the efforts by Big Tech and the mainstream media to cancel Trump’s outreach to the public and a possible political comeback. (The second impeachment by obsessed Democrats is part of that agenda.)

Implying that turnabout is fair play, Ruddy responded that the mainstream media “is not mainstream; they’re pretty far-left these days…I think the media are being cancelled by a lot of people,” including Trump supporters.

He noted that media outlets like CNN have even tried to cancel Newsmax over the network’s voicing concerns about election integrity.

As an example of retaining prominence on the national scene, Trump has established an office of the former president “to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism.”

Two pro-Trump think tanks are also in the process of being set up.

The Trump post-presidency team has also disavowed any attempts to create a third party despite rumors to the contrary.
