Attorney Sidney Powell and the rest of the Trump campaign legal team have no obligation to present “evidence” to a rabid and dishonest news media, as journalist John Nolte pointed out.

The writer unloaded in a fiery thread on Twitter calling out the media’s pack mentality in demanding the president’s lawyers dish up to their viewers proof of the allegations of fraud and corruption in the 2020 presidential election.

Nolte’s scathing criticism came after a media meltdown over Thursday’s press conference in which members of the Trump campaign legal team delivered a stunning series of allegations about Dominion Voting Systems, the company supplying the machines and software used in several U.S. states for the 2020 election. Powell cited foreign corruption that helped taint the results in favor of Democratic nominee Joe Biden and vowed that Trump would be vindicated.

Fox News personalities joined the liberals in casting doubt on the credibility of the claims. Reporters Geraldo Rivera and Kristin Fisher as well as host Dana Perino seemed to call the accusations into question, as did Tucker Carlson, who claimed Powell “never sent us any evidence” to back the allegations despite many “polite” requests.

Powell fired back Friday on Fox Business, saying there was an attempt to provide the show with material but shut down the process because Carlson was “very insulting, demanding and rude.”

But pundits and media talking heads continued to fan the flames of outrage, demanding the lawyers show proof of their claims.

“They have an obligation to go to court and prove these or the American people will have every reason to question their credibility,” former White House chief of staff Karl Rove told Fox News’ Dana Perino on Thursday, echoing the strange criticisms from others who seemed to think the press conference was a dumping ground of information and no legal follow-through is planned.

In an epic Twitter thread on Friday, Nolte slammed the brakes on the pitchfork and torch-carrying mob.

“I get that Tucker is likely under internal pressure and that a lot of people on Twitter also feel this pressure because the corrupt media keep braying about EVIDENCE, but how hard is it to say, Let’s wait and see what Sidney Powell has?” Nolte asked.

“Is it a sin to not present this evidence to a media that only want to undermine it, lie about it, and intimidate anyone who signed an affidavit?” he added.

“Does it not make perfect sense that in an environment so toxic that even Tucker apparently caved to the pressure, Sidney Powell is going to take her time and present it to a court instead of into a maw of media hate desperate to personally….destroy her and declare even a smoking gun a hoax and an act of violence?” Nolte continued, adding that if Powell “doesn’t have the goods, she’s done. She’ll become a national laughingstock and will deserve it.”

He called out Carlson for “prematurely” making it all about him and for not allowing the process to play out.

“I’m an adult. I can wait. Adults don’t allow the media to get under their skin,” he added, citing Powell’s reputation which demands the respect of giving her time to follow through.

“What is the harm in saying, ‘Lets see what she’s got in a couple weeks?'” Nolte asked.

“Personally, I think it would be RIDICULOUS for her to present evidence on f–king cable TV. This isn’t a game. This isn’t sweeps week,” he chided. “Have we gone out of our minds?”

“Suddenly we’re so brainwashed and diminished as a culture, criminal cases are either presented on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ or considered bullshit…,” Nolte continued. “That’s the kind of culture Dystopian movies predicted, but did so for laughs because it was so absurd.”

He pointed out that Powell is “doing what prosecutors do” and does not need to present evidence on cable TV, “not even on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.'”

“I know that’s hard to believe if you allow the media bubble to gnarl you, but that’s how it’s done,” Nolte wrote.

“If she has the goods, God bless her. If she doesn’t have the goods, God forgive her because I won’t….In two weeks we’ll know if she’s Michael Avenatti and Adam Schiff or not,” he added.

“But can we stop being babies,” Nolte concluded.

“…can we stop whining NOW NOW NOW and give her some time? There is a deadline here and it’s not that far away. Maybe read a book while we wait,” he suggested, adding: “P.S. Fox News is not your friend.”
