Conservative pundit Ben Shapiro says that power-hungry Democrats are despairing even with the assumption that they won the presidency (if won is even the proper term based on the shenanigans that continue to become revealed) because it may wind up as a Pyrrhic victory.

The emptiness they are reportedly experiencing is a result of the inability to achieve control of all levels of government; sleepy Joe Biden is just a compliant figurehead who theoretically would rubber-stamp the radical element’s socialist agenda if they could actually move it, the top-rated podcaster and Daily Wire founder implied.

Shapiro noted that the GOP as a legislative entity is still in good shape, assuming Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) remains majority leader come January.

Fascinating to watch the mood from Democrats this morning. Even though they believe that Biden will win, they’re sour. That’s odd, because supposedly this election was all about getting rid of Orange Man Bad. But that’s the dirty secret: it wasn’t. It was about power,” Shapiro wrote on Twitter.

“And this election did not give the Democrats power. Tuesday night was terrible for Dems. It broke their vision for an ascendant intersectional coalition. GOP will likely maintain the Senate. GOP will maintain the statehouses in a redistricting year. GOP gained House seats,” he added.

Although the premise that the left really didn’t care about preventing a second Trump term in office is extremely debatable, Joe Biden is and was just an instrument for his far-left puppet masters. As such, the latter cohort is disappointed, according to former Never Trumper Shapiro, as alluded to above.

“GOP well-positioned for 2022 in the House and Senate. Biden’s most progressive priorities are DOA in a McConnell-run Senate. But remember: Democrats told you that their top priority was “restoring the national soul” by ousting Trump. They’re sad today because that was a lie.”

Along these lines, and contrary to pollster assumptions, Republicans added seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, and may get more when all the vote-counting finally concludes, including an unprecedented number of female MAGA candidates.

Floridian Maria Eliza Salazar, a former Telemundo broadcast journalist who defeated incumbent Dem Donna Shalala, Bill Clinton’s health and human services secretary and ex-Univ. of Miami president, was one of the high-energy, staunchly pro-Trump communicators who emerged victorious.

The fast-talking Shapiro, who recently announced that he and the Daily Wire company are relocating to Nashville from high-tax, high-crime California, seemingly returned to his Never Trump roots on November 4 by condemning Donald Trump for declaring victory in the presidential contest.

Trump’s declaration — while not sufficiently articulate —  doesn’t seem out of line given the sketchy activities that have occurred in certain key precincts, such as Philadelphia.

In a subsequent tweet, however, Shapiro appeared to walk back that criticism.
