It seems to me that who we vote for next week comes down to two things. Do we place our trust in God or the government? As well as, do those we vote for what we really believe in the first line of the constitution, We the people? I believe if we can say yes to these two questions about any candidate then they should receive our vote.

You might say, then there will be few people we can vote for. And you may be right, considering what are seeing happening to our country during these difficult days. The acrimony we are seeing is coming from a party that has lost its way morally and its historical purpose, creating this environment of divisiveness.

We are finding that the Democrats have morphed into a different party than they were just a few decades ago. No longer are they the party of FDR, Kennedy, Carter, or Humphrey. They are a party led to do anything to destroy a duly elected president. In their zeal, they have broken laws, attempted a misguided impeachment, put a stronghold on our culture and enlisted our national media.

To gain power they are making appeals not based on logic but to gain votes. Even if they aren’t in the best interest of we the people. They are asserting that with bigger government, more people will benefit. While not really knowing how they are they are going to pay for their promises.

They are also telling us they know best. They want to stack the Supreme Court, while a very small minority of American’s want a stacked court, both Democrats and Republicans. They are proposing eliminating the Electoral College, which would mean all future presidential elections would be decided by the residents of New York and California. In direct opposition to the founding father’s original intent. All moves not designed for the best interest of we the people, who make up our oldest surviving republic. Moves that will move us closer to a one party democracy.

They want to enact a New Green Deal, a poorly thought out plan that will cost jobs and significantly increase our national deficit. It is no more than a poorly crafted vote getting appeal that has lots of sizzle and no steak. When pressed for details, Joe Biden can only give generalities.

They want to move us closer to socialism, despite its horrendous historical track record. Socialism eliminates the rewards of a meritocracy for the individuals who work hard, while rewarding those who only watch. Socialism is the final step in the movement from trusting God to trusting the government. Socialism is the ultimate participation award scheme that will shut down our country’s historical excellence in innovation, research and excellence.

They have taken control of our national media. They are telling people what to print and view, forcing many to seek other sources of information. When an opposing view arises, they create censorship in our social media. As well as, engaging in a new phenomenon called canceling, moving those who disagree into personal gulags.

No better example can be found in the BLM movement. A movement funded by a foundation that doesn’t qualify for tax-exempt status, because the majority (over 80%) of its funding goes to its founders and consultants. Yet if any individual complains they are banished and canceled. BLM has only instigated national anarchy, which has led to businesses being destroyed through looting and rioting and at the same time the murder rate of the individuals they are in theory protecting has skyrocketed. BLM is no more than a money-grabbing hustle; long on syntax and short of positive societal help.

They are telling us we should defund the police. An absurd suggestion that the vast of Americans reject. Yet they tell us it is the right way to go, while the major cities who endorsed defunding are experiencing unprecedented crime increases. An Alice in Wonderland approach to protecting law-abiding citizens.

As I watch the very quick descent in many of our major cities, I see what our country could look like under this new breed of Democrats. In New York City in just the last year , what good was built over the past two decades is being destroyed. Crime is at an all-time high and some neighborhoods have to block off streets to prevent crime. Our military has to be called in to pick up the garbage. One million New Yorkers are leaving the city this year, because of crime, the sanitary conditions, and the threat of much higher taxes.

Meanwhile, like Nero, the mayor tells the citizens everything is fine. Complaining those who are leaving just aren’t looking at things his way.  While saying things like, we need to tax the wealthy, causing the group who pay the vast amount of taxes to flee. Telling corporations, as well, they need to pay more, with thousands going bankrupt or leaving the city. Costing the city badly needed jobs and tax revenues.

We have California telling the many that are fleeing the state, they will have to still pay taxes for ten years after they leave. Their argument is that those who are leaving became successful because of California and not through their own efforts. A statement that defies logic and the American way.

The hallmark of our republic is two things, a government that is run by We the people and our faith in God. Our fore fathers created our republic after watching other countries fail because they didn’t have these two critical ingredients. They were wise in their observations and have been proven right over these many years.

Now we sit at a very dangerous crossroad, a descent into chaos caused by those driven for personal power at our expense, or sending a message to those who run for office that We the people abhor their conduct and ideas.

As we vote next Tuesday, it is us who decide our future. A future where a strong message gets delivered that we have had enough. A message that we trust God, before we trust individuals seeking personal fame and riches. You may think President Trump is boorish and he is. But President Trump isn’t seeking extra fame or riches, he wants to protect our republic and constitutional rights. He believes in God and the purpose of God in our lives.

On Tuesday, both pray and vote. These are two rights they haven’t taken away from us, yet.
