One precious photo captured Amy Barrett’s young daughter looking up to her mom in pure admiration

Photos captured during President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court this Saturday afternoon are melting hearts because of what they say about the SCOTUS nominee and her endearing family values.

Barrett is, after all, a mother to seven children — two of whom she’d adopted from Haiti.

The first photo making the rounds on social media shows her youngest daughter, Juliet, staring up at her with what appears to be unbridled admiration.

There is indeed a lot for Juliet to admire. Following her graduation from Notre Dame Law School, Barrett went on to serve as a judicial law clerk to then-Justice Antonin Scalia, to teach as an associate professor at George Washington University Law School and to eventually serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Yet throughout all the years of grueling hard work, she eagerly maintained her status as not just a dedicated wife, mother and sibling, but also as a contributing member of her community. She spoke a bit about this during the nomination Saturday.

“While I am a judge, I’m better known back home as a room parent, carpool driver and birthday party planner. When schools went remote last spring, I tried on another hat, Jesse and I became co-principals of the Barrett E-learning Academy,” she said.

Jesse is her husband.

“The president has asked me to become the ninth justice. And as it happens, I’m used to being in a group of nine, my family. Our family includes me, my husband Jesse, Emma, Vivian, Tess, John Peter, Liam, Juliet and Benjamin,” she continued.

“Vivian and John Peter, as the president said, were born in Haiti and they came to us five years apart when they were very young and the most revealing fact about Benjamin our youngest is that his brothers and sisters unreservedly identify him as their favorite sibling. Our children obviously make our life very full.”

All of them can be seen together below offering to America a vision of what it means to be a true American family:

These images seem to present a stark contrast to the ideal family — or cult, rather — preferred by an increasing number of far-left “progressive” Democrats. To them, it would seem, life isn’t about friends and family but rather about comrades and allies.

In fact, to them, everything about Barrett’s otherwise perfect family is wrong, from its size, which they claim contributes to climate change and overpopulation, to its inclusion of adopted black children, which they say is somehow racist.

These leftists have also tried to link Barrett to “The Handmaid’s Tale,” a dystopian novel about a totalitarian state where women are subjected.

“Amy Coney Barrett … is affiliated with a type of Christian religious group that served as inspiration for Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel, The Handmaid’s Tale,” Newsweek, a mainstream media outlet with immense reach, claimed last week.

“Barrett, a devout Catholic, and her husband both belong to the People of Praise group, current and former members have said. … The charismatic Christian parachurch organization, which was founded in South Bend, Indiana in 1971, teaches that men have authority over their wives. Members swear a lifelong oath of loyalty to one another and are expected to donate at least 5 per cent of their earnings to the group.”

Nearly hidden at the bottom of the piece is a correction noting that People of Praise has no actual connection to “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Whoops.

The fact-free piece is completely anathema to the truth, which is that instead of being subjugated by her husband, Barrett is treated like a literal queen.

“I couldn’t manage this very full life without the unwavering support of my husband Jesse. At the start of our marriage, I imagined that we would run our household as partners, as it has turned out. Jesse does far more than his share of the work,” she revealed at Saturday’s nomination hearing.

“For 21 years, Jesse has asked me every single morning what he can do for me that day. And though I almost always say, “Nothing,” he still finds ways to take things off my plate. And that’s not because he has a lot of free time, he has a busy law practice. It’s because he is a superb and generous husband. And I am very fortunate.”

But all this is apparently bad and dystopian, or at least it appears to be for those who prefer Joe Biden’s America over President Donald J. Trump’s America.
