President Donald Trump’s campaign painted a chilling picture of “Joe Biden’s America” with defunded police departments.

The new campaign video released on Thursday, and shared by Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter, shows what it could look like if the former vice president were to win the election in November and give in to leftists pushing to defund, dismantle or reorganize police departments across America’s cities.

The 30-second advertisement showed a ringing phone being answered, not by an emergency 911 dispatcher, but by an answering service.

“You have reached the 911 police emergency line,” the recording said.

“Due to defunding of the police department, we’re sorry but no one is here to take your call,” the message continued, offering the caller a few options.

“If you’re calling to report a rape, please press 1. To report a murder, press 2. To report a home invasion, press 3. For all other crimes, leave your name and number and someone will get back to you,” the voice said.

“Our estimated wait time is currently 5 days. Goodbye,” the call ends.

The president as well as his reelection campaign have been calling calling out prominent Democrats who are supportive of the push to defund police departments. Communications director Tim Murtaugh, in a call with reporters earlier this week, criticized the “left’s radical proposals to defund the police,” NBC News reported.

“It is consuming the entire Democrat party as the most extreme elements have the loudest voices and demand acquiescence,” he said, specifically noting Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar for their remarks about the movement as well as calling out Democrats like Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and Rep. Val Demings.

“Should law enforcement be accountable? Absolutely,” former Chester County Sheriff Carolyn Bunny Welsh, who was also on the call, said, adding that dismantling police “will do nothing but create chaos and anarchy.”

Trump believes a Biden presidency will lead to more anti-police decisions, telling Fox News host Sean Hannity recently that radical Democrats are looking to “abolish” law enforcement.

“With Biden, if he ever got in, you’ll be abolishing police. You can just watch. Because he’s not going to be running anything, the people around him will,” he said.

But many top Democrats, including Biden, have shown no interest in defunding or dismantling police departments. The presumptive Democratic nominee has specifically said he does not support the idea but would prefer another kind of reform.

“I don’t believe police should be defunded, but I think that conditions should be placed upon them where departments are having to take significant reform,” he told “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah last month. “We should set up a national use of force standard. If they don’t sign on to it, then in fact they don’t get any of the federal money.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson last week painted a dark picture of a society without police and warned Trump to act if he wishes to be reelected in November, adding that now is the time to be “enforcing America’s laws with certainty.”

The latest Trump campaign ad sparked many reactions on social media.
