Left-wing CNN host Chris Cuomo expressed anger Thursday night over his colleague being called out as a “liberal hack” by Arizona Sen. Martha McSally.
According to him, McSally’s decision to deride CNN senior congressional correspondent Manu Raju as a “liberal hack” for asking her whether GOP-led Senate should consider “new evidence” going into President Donald Trump’s trial was “pathetic.”
And the fact that she’s a “veteran” with an “amazing record of service” makes her so-called “stunt that much more pathetic,” or so he alleged.
“Did she really swap all that good faith for fealty to Trump, somebody she hasn’t even backed in the past?” Cuomo complained. “We see the play now, the question was obvious, so was the dodge, so was the disrespect. All textbook Trump. It’s more proof of what this is all about. And here’s more proof just from her of playing from the Trump playbook. Forget about apologizing, she’s trying to raise money off the mockery.”
Listen:
Cuomo and his peers at the decidedly left-wing network appear to be 100 percent confident that McSally’s remark toward Raju — which, for the record, was prompted by him approaching her, not the reverse — is part of some clandestine “fund-raising effort.”

Hopefully everyone sees what this really was – a fund-raising effort for her Senate campaign… https://t.co/np3MsPtl2W

The notion that perhaps she called Raju a “liberal hack” out of a widely shared genuine frustration — #CNNIsTrash was trending on Twitter for days because of the network’s stunningly biased behavior toward Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders at this week’s primary debate — just doesn’t seem to register with them.
Speaking with Fox News host Laura Ingraham later that evening, McSally attributed her anger to CNN’s reporters being “so biased.”
“No, Laura, I do not,” she said when asked whether she regrets what she’d said. “I said it again as I went in: ‘You are a liberal hack, buddy.'”
“You know, these CNN reporters, many of them around the capital, they are so biased. They are so in cahoots with the Democrats, they so can’t stand the president, and they run around trying to chase Republicans and asked trapping questions.”
In fact, on the same day that her altercation with Raju occurred, over at the White House the left-wing network’s chief White House correspondent, Jim Acosta, repeatedly interrupted the president as he tried to answer a question.
Watch:
DID YOU SEE THIS: When President Trump was answering a question about @RudyGiuliani‘s associate Lav Parvas
Jim Acosta once again interrupts him! @realDonaldTrump had to tell him to be “QUIET”
Acosta is an embarrassment and disrespectful idiot..He should be banned..?? pic.twitter.com/JvLgFI2e9M

“I’m a fighter pilot,” McSally continued on FNC. “I called it like it is. That is what we see out of the mainstream media, and especially CNN every single day, so obviously, I’m going to tell the truth, and I did it today, and it’s laughable.”

But is the specific reporter whom McSally bashed truly a “liberal hack?” It depends. On one hand, there are examples of Raju confronting Democrats with tough questions. But on the other hand, there are even more examples of him demonstrating left-wing bias.
Conservative commentator David Harsanyi notes for instance how the “new evidence” cited by Raju is nothing but dubious claims from an unscrupulous character. He also notes how Raju has never asked Democrats about the evidence surrounding former Vice President Joe Biden and his scandal-plagued son Hunter.
“[T]here is no Lev Parnas ‘evidence’ about alleged Trump-Giuliani misdeeds in Ukraine,” he wrote Thursday for the New York Post. “There are only allegations from a sordid character named Lev Parnas. … By referring to Parnas’ handwritten notes as ‘evidence,’ Raju is merely perpetuating a [Democrat] talking point.”
“Which would be fine, of course, if reporters were also stalking the hallways of the Senate demanding to know if Democrats were prepared to investigate new ‘evidence’ of alleged wrongdoing by Hunter Biden.”
“CNN should probably file FEC reports for their DNC contributions.” — Martha McSally responding to CNN’s demand that she apologize for pointing out their hackery.

Except that according to CNN, even mentioning Biden’s alleged wrongdoing makes you a conspiracy theorist …
Which is ironic given, as Harsanyi further noted, that CNN and other establishment media outlets “subjected the nation to a hysterical three-year carousel of botched Russia ‘collusion’ stories” that all turned out to be total bunk.
Yet it’s a story that congressional Democrats still eagerly peddle to the public — and all with zero pushback from their seemingly willing accomplices in the media.
“You only need to juxtapose the McSally brouhaha with Nancy Pelosi’s news conference this week to see how liberal journalistic malpractice works,” Harsanyi pointed out.
“Without any evidence, the House speaker accused Team Trump of sedition and criminality and claimed — again — that the 2016 presidential election had been stolen by Russians, knowing full well no one would really challenge her.”
Watch that insanity below:
Nancy Pelosi says “The American voter should decide who our president is” at the same time she is trying to overturn the will of the American people in 2016
And she’s STILL spreading Russia “collusion” conspiracy theories!
Why? Because they’re scared how we’ll vote again! pic.twitter.com/l62xZ5bEey

There was no pushback.
When at last one reporter, James Rosen of Sinclair, did push back on Pelosi twice during two pressers last year, she snapped both times (here, here).
And in response, “journalists” rushed to defend … Pelosi:
Not the first time Sinclair’s James Rosen has asked an unusual question that has sparked Pelosi’s frustration. Last month, he asked why the legal rights of the whistleblower should prevail over Trump’s ability to confront his accuser, prompting this: https://t.co/jN25PG81lD https://t.co/i5N9JzshqR

Wow. That was an incredible moment as a reporter asked @SpeakerPelosi, as she was exiting news conf., if she hates the president.
She immediately pushed back, hard, at the idea.

Of course, there was the total pass Ilhan Omar was given by the media when she ‘lashed out’ at Raju:
Here's Ilhan Omar just last year "lashing out" at the same CNN reporter that Sen. McSally called a "liberal hack" this morning.
Remember all the media outrage?
Oh, that’s right. There was none. pic.twitter.com/GzZEEiPja2
