Ranting ex-newswoman April Ryan blames Trump for not helping hurting Baltimore. He just did.

American Urban Radio Networks’ April Ryan has unloaded a ridiculous attack against President Donald Trump, essentially blaming him for the problems in the Democrat-run city of Baltimore.

The CNN political analyst gave a pompous defense of Rep. Elijah Cummings as she trashed the president over his feud with the Democrat lawmaker for the deplorable conditions in his Maryland district.

But the White House reporter missed the forest for the trees, slamming Trump for doing nothing for Baltimore’s residents when in fact, he just did. The president’s fiery rebuke of Cummings has not only sparked a meltdown from the left, it has focused much-needed attention on the city’s shameful conditions under decades of Democratic leadership.

Ryan, who is a native of Baltimore, argued on “CNN Newsroom” that the area of Baltimore that Trump referenced in his attack on Cummings does not represent the entirety of the district, though that hardly seemed like a point in Cummings’ favor.

Instead, Ryan doubled down on Trump’s continued tweeting in his own defense, saying it is “because the blowback is fierce against him.”

The president, rather, seems to be tweeting to get the truth out about the “very dangerous and filthy” city of Baltimore.

“Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border,” Trump tweeted about Cummings, “when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA.”

Ryan claimed the president is continuing to tweet about the issue and the criticism he has received because he is “upset” after calling out the House Oversight Committee Chairman, “yet another African-American person that the president is making personal attacks on.”

“Now he wants to deflect and flip it, saying Elijah Cummings is a racist,” Ryan told CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield, defending Cummings and his supposed work in his community. But it is Ryan — and other liberals — who are deflecting.

“He represents a district of black, white, Jew, gentile, Protestant and Catholic, and he’s got people from all walks of life who respect him. I hear it from those in the Jewish community, the white community, the black community,” Ryan said, noting religions in her argument about race.

“Now what’s happening is that this conservative hate machine is putting out black people to say that Elijah should be doing this and doing that. Yes, Baltimore is hurting. But it’s not just about Elijah Cummings,” Ryan continued as she reached even further to turn the narrative.

“It’s about the president of the United States,” she declared.

She continued, “Mr. President, where are you? What about urban renewal? It’s not about these empowerment Zones or whatever these Zones it’s about fixing the problem, not laughing at it. You’re the president of black people, too. People are hurting, and you’re turning a blind eye.”

“An American city is hurting and this man who is sitting in the prime spot to do something is turning a blind eye and laughing,” she then added.

The president has neither turned a “blind eye” as Ryan noted or laughed. He has instead slammed Cummings for his vocal attacks on the administration and immigration officials while he has apparently ignored the failures in his own Maryland district.

A recently resurfaced video of Baltimore’s former mayor Catherine Pugh reiterated the situation as she was shown during a walk-through of the city’s blight and disease infested areas. She was revolted as she noted, “you can smell the rats.”

There is apparently no footage of April Ryan calling out Pugh for her observations, just as the left was notably silent as 2020 contender Bernie Sanders compared Baltimore to a “Third World country” after a tour through one of the city’s neighborhoods back in 2016.

But the left quickly pounced on Trump’s factual observations as another example of his “racism” after he called out Cummings over the disaster in his own backyard.

Ryan’s attacks on Trump were slammed on social media where Twitter users pointed out — again — the left’s hypocrisy and blind hatred for the president.
