Alaska girl reportedly expelled after she knees boy in groin in girls’ bathroom, sparks firestorm

The American left’s war on women appears to be alive and well in Alaska, where earlier this month a school district reportedly expelled a female student after she kneed a boy in the groin for having allegedly entered the girls’ bathroom and prevented her from exiting.

“We had an incident last week to where some boys entered the girls’ bathroom, and a girl kneed a boy, feeling threatened,” Alaska House Rep. Tammie Wilson, a Republican, revealed during a press conference last Friday, according to Anchorage station KTUU. “They were blocking her way. And she was suspended from school, because she used too much force.”

The unnamed girl’s sister has since confirmed that she was in fact expelled, not suspended:

In a statement issued to parents on Monday, the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District claimed that the “specific incident at North Pole High School unfolded after a [female] student took a selfie in the boys’ restroom and posted on Snapchat that he is transitioning from the female to male gender.”

“A group of boys at the school was upset about the public nature of the post and restroom use. … A group of boys decided to go into a girls’ restroom to take a Snapchat of their own, similar to what the transgender student did, as a form of protest. On the day of the incident, the boys began to enter the restroom. Only one boy actually proceeded past the door frame.”

“The other boys followed behind him and were not yet in the restroom. A female student (not the transgender student) was exiting the restroom at the time the first boy began to enter. The girl kicked the first boy in the groin. The boys turned around and left the area.”

Wilson has chosen to stand behind the girl, regardless of the boys’ reasoning.

“I don’t care why the boys were in the bathroom,” she said at last Friday’s presser. “I heard there was some kind of protest going on, but doesn’t matter. I just wanted to make sure I had this opportunity to tell those young ladies at North Pole High School … if you ever feel threatened for your safety, whatever force you think you have to give, I will stand behind you. And so will our community.”

Because of the unnamed girl’s expulsion, she reportedly missed her prom. The school district claims that the boys were also disciplined, though it remains unclear how.

“A Title IX investigation was conducted, and numerous statements were collected,” the district said. “Based on the results of the investigation, discipline was issued both to the female student and to 7 boys related to the incident. The boys were disciplined for attempting to enter the restroom. There was not evidence that the boys were threatening any student or using any type of force toward other students.”

The latter statement suggests the discipline they faced was significantly less severe than that of the actual victim. And from the looks of it, the so-called transgender girl who technically started the altercation wasn’t disciplined at all.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

This entire case provides a perfect example of the conflicts that the left’ intersectional beliefs create. On one hand, the transgender girl shouldn’t have taken a selfie in the boys’ bathroom. But on the other hand, the left-wing school appears to boast policies that cater to the transgender community.

“There was, and continues to be, conversation among students regarding transgender students at NPHS and the use of restrooms. Teachers, counselors, support staff and administrators are helping students navigate that dialogue. The district provides additional counselors to schools whenever it is determined assistance is needed,” the school district said in its statement.

So if the transgender boy was allowed to enter the boys’  bathroom, why wouldn’t the boys be allowed to enter the girls’ bathroom? What’s to say they weren’t identifying as girls that day?

But on the other hand, don’t the rights of young, vulnerable girls’ matter? In many cases, the left has decided that no, their rights don’t matter a single bit. What allegedly happened in Alaska proves it.

You’re sadly mistaken though if you think the girls at North Pole High School are alone.

It’s been happening all across the country, and wouldn’t you know it, Democrats want to only exacerbate the crisis by providing so-called transgender students with even more “rights.”

Congressional Democrats’ proposed “Equality Act” would, if signed into law, allow so-called transgender girls to compete alongside biological females.

“Democrats’ Equality Act would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make “sexual orientation and gender identity” protected characteristics under federal anti-discrimination law. Among other things, the bill would force public schools to expand female athletic teams to include biological males who identify as transgender girls,” The Daily Caller reported last week.

It’s clear to many, including Wilson, that this is the real war on women.
