House Democrats’ passage Thursday of a watered-down, “sham” anti-hate resolution isn’t sitting well with the hosts of Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” among many other critics.
“This is a travesty, a gutless move by a Democratic Party coming apart at the seems,” co-host Brian Kilmeade angrily declared Friday. “And you are looking at the leadership there on the left. It’s actually on the right. And they just hugged each other. The freshman are running the caucus!”
Below is the image he was looking at when he spoke of Democrat leadership being on the right:

On the right were freshmen congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar. Many claim House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is effectively wilting in the “fiery clutch” of them.
“In the beginning, it was, ‘Let’s condemn anti-Semitism. Can we agree on that? The answer is no. We have to do that only if we condemn anti-Africanism, Native Americanism, if you condemn people that condemn others of color — Muslims Hindus, Sikhs.'”
“In other words, the stuff you learned in first grade: You just don’t be mean to people,” he added, summing up the resolution’s core message. “Which means it’s a colossal waste of time. They didn’t even have the guts to put her name on this, when she’s had a track record since 2012.”
Listen to part one of the “Fox & Friends” segment below:
Whose name? That of Omar, whose recent bouts of anti-Semitism were what provoked Democrats into passing this limp-wristed bill. While the original purpose had been to call out her anti-Semitism, Democrats wound up watering the bill down to appease the party’s more radical elements.
Omar wasn’t even mentioned by name, and other groups were added to a list of those subjected to hate, including Muslims. Excluded from the list were Christians, whites and Trump supporters.
And included among those who were condemned in the bill were white supremacists, neo-Confederates, white nationalists, neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klansmen. Neither Islamic terrorists nor the words “anti-Semite” or “anti-Semites” were included anywhere in the resolution.
So just to be clear: A Somali-American Democrat engages in repeated anti-Semitism, and Democrats pass a resolution that condemns “white supremacists” (and gets in a reference to Charlottesville).

“How sad is this they have to put this down on paper in anti-hate resolution,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt added Friday morning on “Fox & Friends.” “Shouldn’t we all be anti-hate anyway?”
Exactly. Passing a vague resolution against “hate” is pointless since everybody save for those like Omar and her newfound fanboy, white supremacist David Duke, is already against hate.
What Democrats were supposed to have done is specifically condemn the Muslim congresswoman’s clear-cut hatred for the Jewish community both in America and in Israel.
Recall that after Iowa congressman Steve King allegedly made “white nationalist” remarks in an interview with The New York Times two months ago, Republican congressional leaders rushed to strip him of his committee assignments and condemn him specifically for his purported bigotry.
Yet in Omar’s case, not only has she not been specifically condemned, but she still boasts a seat on the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee. She’s in fact faced no repercussions of any kind.
“Have some guts!” Kilmeade roared in fury Friday, pointing to Pelosi’s continued excuses for Omar’s behavior.
“And I feel confident that her words were not based on any anti-Semitic attitude, but that she didn’t have a full appreciation of how they landed on other people, where these words have a history and a cultural impact that may have been unknown,” she’d said to reporters on Thursday.
Listen to the rest of the “Fox & Friends” segment below:
Ainsley concluded the discussion by noting that Omar hasn’t even apologized.
“Normally if you say something and you don’t mean it … you made a mistake, you would apologize. Sometimes people get emotional on television and say, ‘I’m so sorry. I never wanted to offend.’ But that hasn’t happened in this case,” she said.
And yet Democrats don’t care. You know who does, though? President Donald Trump, who earlier this week slammed Omar on Twitter for her “terrible comments concerning Israel” and who on Friday praised the co-hosts of “Fox & Friends” for a “[g]reat show!”
Look:
Representative Ilhan Omar is again under fire for her terrible comments concerning Israel. Jewish groups have just sent a petition to Speaker Pelosi asking her to remove Omar from Foreign Relations Committee. A dark day for Israel!

Thank you @foxandfriends. Great show!

Regarding the “sham” resolution, the hosts of “Fox & Friends” weren’t the only ones peeved by it:
BREAKING: Liz Cheney releases a statement:
“Today’s resolution vote was a sham put forward by Democrats to avoid condemning one of their own and denouncing vile anti-Semitism.”

Omar says anti-Semitic stuff repeatedly.
Media: Omar makes controversial comments about Israel.
Democrats water down resolution to avoid condemning Omar.
Media: Democrats vote to condemn hate.
A few GOP vote against sham resolution in protest.
Media: Republicans are anti-Semitic.— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) March 7, 2019
What should have been a resolution condemning Ilhan Omar and anti-Semitism turned into a total sham.
Democrats had an opportunity to stand firm against anti-Semites. They refused.
Instead, they’re letting one stay on the Foreign Affairs Committee.

That whole resolution shouldn’t even have to be implemented. Racism should be nonexistent in 2019…. that was a Sham smoke screen by you Demonkkkrats…

It’s a sham resolution intended to obfuscate its impetus: anti Semitic remarks by Representative Ilhan Omar.
