‘Watters World’ guests get way overheated when one of them calls Trump’s LeBron tweet racist

An attempt by Fox News host Jesse Watters to host a calm discussion Saturday with left-wing commentator Wendy Osefo about President Donald Trump’s recent tweet at NBA star Lebron James quickly fell by the wayside courtesy Osefo’s constant lies.

The discussion started with both Watters and conservative activist Anna Paulina agreeing that there was nothing extraordinary about the president’s tweet.

“Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!” Trump tweeted Friday, referencing an interview from earlier in the week in which the NBA star accused the president of using sports to divide Americans.

James’ beef with Trump stems from the president’s willingness to call out the NFL players who’ve been disrespecting the national anthem by kneeling as it’s played prior to games.

Listen to his remark below:

“I don’t know why people are getting so worked up about this. The president hits back when he’s attacked. Lebron James said something he doesn’t look, and he hit back. What’s the big deal, right?” Watters said Saturday evening.

Paulina agreed, adding that the national anthem protests have been disrespectful to America’s veterans. The argument could therefore be made that it’s in fact those in the sports community who’ve truly been dividing Americans.

That was when Osefo began trotting out lies.

“I will say that the president’s comments is (SIC) completely divisive and is beyond the pale as the president of the United States, and the president of the free world,” she said.

Trump is the leader of the free world, not the “president of the free world” …

“What we have here is Lebron James, a man who has been a stellar model of citizenship both on and off the court, who spent $8 million dollars of his own money to build a school for at-risk kids, and nothing Donald Trump has done in his career has even compared to that.”

That was a lie, as noted by Paulina, who blurted out, “You’re spewing rhetoric for the left.”

Watters then took the mic, telling Osefo that, while he agrees with her assessment of Lebron, “It’s not right to say President Trump has done nothing. He’s created hundreds and thousands of jobs. He’s given a lot of opportunities to disadvantaged people.”

She of course disagreed, choosing to continue her earlier rant: “Let us speak to the facts. Not only did what President Trump do — not only is it divisive, it’s also border-line racist.”

When Watters then asked her why, she said, “President Trump has called out by name Colin Kaepernick, Stephen Curry and LeBron James, but he has never responded to criticism by [Spurs coach Greg] Popovich, he has never responded to Eminem.”

“Wait a second. I could name about a dozen white people that the president has attacked personally,” Watters retorted.

When Paulina jumped back into the conversation to highlight the racist insults that Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been receiving for criticizing the NFL’s ongoing national anthem protest, Osefo ignored her, saying, “You don’t make any sense.”

That too was a lie. For a woman who touted the need for them to “speak to the facts,” Osefo seemed awfully divorced from the actual facts.
